The son of a friend of mine is looking for a ride service that could pick him up at his place of work ( just outside The Villages) and take him home (inside The Villages). This would be on nights when he is scheduled to work until 9 and only when his family is out of town so it would be on an as needed basis. Apparently Uber and Lyft are difficult to find around here at that hour. Is there a car service that you know of that could do this?

That sounds like it is the responsibility of his parents, and I well understand the problem.

There are no easy answers. We had always tried to solve our own issues and not have Helene depend on social services. When we moved here she stopped working because we stopped working.

Maybe ask someone he works with if they will do it for a fee.

Great opportunity for someone would be sign up as an Uber driver. Easy-peasy. Turn on your system when you aren't busy and drive folks home. Only work when/if you feel like it.
