It depends on where you are going to be living. If you are in any of the southern villages there is a new facility in Wildwood just off 301 a little south of 44. I kept our Class C there, very clean and secure with wash bay, dumping, tire filling area, potable water, etc. They have covered or uncovered outside storage as well as full inside storage, 30 amp or 50 amp and you can set your air to run to keep the humidity out of the unit. Secured Covered Storage 352-464-8818.

I don't know about you but price matters to me. Electric, dump, covered locations are approximately 120/mo.
I use a uncovered storage, no dump, no water, no electric location 35.00 a month. Part of a store it here business. PM me if that interests you |

The open sun will cause a lot of damage to a motorhome both inside and out reducing the value of that unit. Then there is the lack of pest control sitting out in a field or parking lot somewhere, one colony of ants or a family of mice get's in and there comes more damage. You also don't have the security that you have in an enclosed facility with cameras, etc. Without electric hookups you can't set your thermostat for the air to come on to keep it free of humidity. You also get a nice paved wash bay to use when you go to a secure facility. I can't imagine what an RV would smell like if you didn't dump after coming back from a long trip and then parked it out in the sun and heat, the chemicals can't keep up with a super hot black tank, yuk. You get what you pay for and you don't get much for $35.00/month.

We searched for storage when we moved here for our boat. We use secure covered storage of off hwy 44. Nice place secure, a lot of covered storage, they also have a warehouse. Depending on you desires this place has it all. They have a dump station. The majority of their facility is paved, only a few gravel areas. It has always been clean as well.

Whatever you do, pay extra to cover it. The Florida sun will destroy it.

I can appreciate the comments about storing your RV under cover. But, consider this - When they are made they go to an outside lot and await shipment to the dealer. At the dealer they are on an outside lot, often for extended periods of time, until they are sold. And when you are using your RV it is outside. Full time RV owners obviously never cover their RV's. if you look around there are 1000's of RV's stored outside.
I have used RV's in freezing temps, desert temps, snow, rain, sleet, hail, etc. They are manufactured to withstand these conditions. (some better than others) To be fair, years ago I did store my motorhome in a barn I had built, but that was in snow country. And when I sold that property the MH went back to outside storage. Properly maintain your RV and outside storage should be fine.
