We have a Patio Villa with the standard problem of a dark kitchen and were planning on installing a solar tube.But before installing the solar tube we upgraded the lighting fixtures.

Replaced the ceiling light.Old 1 60 watt bulb.New 1 23 watt bulb with 120 watt output.
We decided we did not need a solar tube.We doubled the light output and reduced are electric usage by 60% and only spent $75.
