I am also looking to add a pool and extend the bird cage on our house. We also just want a small pool, nothing fancy, just water and a circulating pump.

We have T&D installing our pool, hottub, and birdcage right now. We are still in Wisconsin, but our friends have been sending pictures and it looks great. They are excellent people to work with so far, get work done on time, very helpful. Let you know in 2 weeks when we actually get down full time, but I would call them. Ours, with solar and a large birdcage was less than $50,000

I searched threads jsut earlier this week and found some remarks form 2008.

Just curious how much more is the cost of the lot to have enough room for a $50 to $75 K pool. I might have to work 6 more months to do this

Bob ---When we asked our salesman about a pool he said the price for a average size pool and birdcage was 40 to 45 thousand .... and recommended T&D

So, when's the tub party? Salt water is sooooo soothing. WTG!

Definitely check with T&D to get an idea on current pricing. Our pool came with the house and is a 14' X 30' with two sprays and a large lanai with birdcage. When I asked I was told that the pool was worth about $55k and that was in May 2008. In mid 2009 our neighbors had a smaller pool installed by T&D with a separate spa and the whole are covered by a birdcage. That cost them around $45K. But again check with T&D as they are the best for pools in TV.

Without spa but with decent size pool and large birdcage I was quoted around 38-45K. A spa adds around 8K. This is for a salt water chlorination with solar heating only. Heater would be additional since it would require a buried propane in our section (Buttonwood).

I had a 12x24 with cage priced at 42,000. Just depends on how fancy you want to get. Start adding water falls and raised walls and all the really nice LED lighting the price will go up. You can add pavers to the pool deck and so on. Would use solar heating. There are a few companies around here that do them, but T&D is the largest of the bunch as they do all the residential new construction in TV.

I've been looking into pool pricing. From what I hear people love and recommned T and D, but their prices are high. They are telling me $30K-$35 with no salt water system or water feature for small basic pool/cage. No more details.

I have a ballpark very rough quote from Proform, whom I have not used or checked any references on.

They say their ballpark for a 12x24 concrete pool with 4 foot concrete around it is $16,900 and the birdcage is about $6k, so $22,900 total. I'm working on getting a real quote from them, I'm talking to Luke.

But from my phone calls it seems $30-$35 K is the typical ballpark most companies give for the basic pool and cage.

Yes, T&D prices are a little higher than some but as I have written before they are here and are dependable. There are also a couple of good pool companies out of Ocala who will give you similar or maybe slightly lower pricing than T&D. As far as the low cost offer I would say be careful. I know of one person who went with the low price for his pool and the company went out of business halfway through the pool build. It took months for him to find someone to finish the job. Not saying that may happen with the person you have talked to but just offering some experience.
