Default Wal-Mart Supercenter

Will be TV for the first time in a few weeks... can't wait! I notice there are 2 Wal-Mart supercenters; one in the Villages and one in Summerfield (Hwy 441). Which would you recommend as having a better full-service grocery store?

The one in TV on 466 is much better. It is larger, only a year old, has much wider aisles, is not as crowded, and you dont have near as much traffic on 466 that you do on 441/27.

I do wish they had not closed down Albertsons though.

Depends on where in The Villages you live.

Also, the one on 466 is golf cart accessible.

I have been told the one on 27/441 is golf cart accessible but it would be one helluva trek.

Last, but not least, the one on 466 is just plain nicer.

It definitely depends where you're staying. The western half of TV probably shops at Wal-Mart on 466. And I know people from Duval who buy groceries there. If you're staying around Spanish Springs, the Wal-Mart on 441 will be more convenient.

I live close to Wal-Mart, but I much prefer Publix or Fresh Market for fresh groceries. I like Wal-Mart for inexpensive kitchen and bathroom stuff, paper towels, cards, etc.

I'm just off 466a and we go to the one on 441 in Leesburg, right at Hwy 25

it's a little older and not all Villagers, but actually find out it's not near so crowded, so .. close to the house and no huge crowd, that's where we go
