Default Where can I buy a lamp post name sign?

Hello all,
Jane and I would like to buy a simple small aluminum white sign to hang from our lamp post just saying our names.........

Like Frank & Jane
D'Angelo

We see these everywhere, but I cannot find them online easily. I think I'll call the local realtor to see where they get them, because they give them to those who buy houses from them I'm told, but since we did not buy our home from them, we did not get one.

Our home is not in TV, it is in The Plantation, about 13 miles south of you good people. Any ideas? I want to buy one and have it for when we return to our Florida home in October.

Thanks! Frank D.

SEE? I told you, you made a mistake. You should have bought in The Villages with us people who got the signs free.

I'm just kiddin'. ;D :joke:

there's usually a "tent" or two selling them at the town squares when they have the vendor night (or whatever it's called) with the crafts and such.

Also they can be purchased at the MARKET OF MARION about four miles north of the villages on friday sat, or sun.

I know a fellow who has a used one . It has the wrong name on it but you can't beat the price.....

Thank you all.....
I never really took a good look at them...are they metal, like aluminum, or wood?

Do they take orders, or make them while you wait?

How often do they have these "vendor nights" ?

I've been up to the Markets of Marion once. I'll also check there, but wanted to know if it involved a long wait time, or multiple trips, etc.

I realize you may not know some of this since you receive one free when you buy a home......we are proud of our home now that we are florida homeowners and want a sign on it to make it feel even more like ours.

Nice to see you here Frank...Vendor nights are Monday thru Thursday and alternate between the 2 town squares, Monday and Wednesday it's at Spanish Springs and Tuesday and Thursday it's Lake Sumter Landing. I believe they have all types of materials and they even have some that light up. If you order one I believe it's ready in about a week.....GN

Thanks Fumar.....
Bummer you did not get one either. I thought you would not need one anymore since you relocated to live with the aliens..... :joke:

Maybe we should go in together and try to get a volume discount ! ;D

Check out the Marian flea market (Fri, Sat, Sun). They have a booth that sells them too! :-)

I bought mine from Unique Printing in Southern Trace Plaza (352-751-0966) which is also where I ordered my Social Cards. I suspect they'd be happy to FAX you a proof and have your sign ready when you arrive.

I hear you ARE allowed to sell your home in The Plantation and buy up here where the "better" people live. Your Realtor might buy you a sign (mine didn't). Kidding, of course!

Hello all,
Well, we went up to the Market of Marion today to check out a lamp post sign.
It was a waste of time.
They only have one person who sells/makes them, and they were wood, and the guy was not even there, his booth was all closed up.

I'll try the vendor nights next I guess. When do they open for the day...are they all day, or just in the evening?

Someone also told is to try a big flea market in Webster on Mondays....I did not think it would be this hard to buy something it seems everyone seems to have??

Hey Frank..there is a MARKET NIGHT Mon-Thurs in TV's.

I think they are Mon and Wed at Spanish Springs and Tues and Thurs at Sumter Landing....

There are some vendors that go to all of them....but others go to just one...and just one night....

Wish we could tell you exactly who to go to....if you find out...let us know....I need one too and would think they should put an ad on this site so everyone knows!!! That is one of the most wanted items in the area!!!

Thanks!!!
