I have a feeling that SOME folks do not understand the term "Patriotic" and use the term loosely and as a verbal weapon. "Turning" that around makes no more sense than the original supposition that if one does not agree with you they are NOT "patriotic."

That person that you saw in the truck was a Veteran and holder of the Purple Heart. How is his appearance offensive?

That is your opinion and you are certainly entitled to have and voice your opinion.

Did I use the word "offensive"? I don't think so. I was profiling, actually, and don't tell me that people do not do that. Of course they do. I would bet a lot of money that guy at the capitol with the horns on his head is NOT vaccinated. Just a gut feeling. I would bet money on it though.

Actually he was vaccinated early with the Pfizer vaccine and the horns are a little known long term side effect of the Pfizer vaccine not being funded by OWS. Look in the mirror.

The pattern of the Delta variant is a steep, rapid increase then sharp falloff. A booster might not be needed.

Probably? No, he was vaccinated by the VA. He said he earned the right to whatever appearance he wishes. As a decorated Veteran, he should be able to feel free to whatever appearance he wishes. I may not dress like that and I do not drive a pickup truck anymore, but I have to agree with him. Generally, most PATRIOTIC folks thank veterans for their service and do NOT dis' them for not dressing as the elitists that criticize them.

Too funny!

Hopefully this Delta variant will peter out like it did in UK and India. They had sharp decline in cases with no actual reason for it.

I'm referring to the guy I saw on the road in a pick me up truck on 441. How can you say for sure he was vaccinated by the VA? How do you even know who he is?

If you are referring to the guy with the horns at the Capitol, then that is a different story. I have no idea if he is vaxxed or not. Has he gone public with that information?

Neither is this, but I thought it was such a great graphic and I was putting it on the thread talking about the percentage of people vaccinated in the Villages and Poof, the thread disappeared.

I can't attest to the validity, but this suggests that Sumter County has more than 70% of residents vaccinated. I think that is really good news.

Gracie.....I just came back on this site to see if there were any replies to my thread and see it isn't' anywhere. I checked all the different forums to see if it was moved but I should have known better because I always get an email when the moderator moves one of my threads to another forum.

What happened? Why did my thread get deleted so quickly? What was said? All I wanted to know is if anyone has an accurate percentage of Villagers who are fully vaccinated. I'm very dismayed that a thread like that is gone so quickly. That information should be readily available to everyone who lives here.

Thanks for posting the map and percentages. I still can't really figure out what percentage we are in The Villages by the map but it does look like it may be in the higher range but still not sure.

The subject matter of the thread I'm referring to was not discussed at all before; not that I saw anyway. So, I'm a bit confused as to why it was removed. How did it go south so fast?

Lots of people are getting Covid and not so many people are dying from it, because they are younger. The older you are the worse it is for you to get sick with this bug.

It just seems so frustrating to me, that the vaccine is there, certainly not without risk, but the risk of being inoculated is far less than getting the damn Delta mutation.

So all the data changed in three weeks? Not bloody likely...

Dr Fauci hopes the FDA will give full approval to the Covid 19 vaccines within a few weeks. This might reduce vaccine hesitancy. There are valid reasons for vaccine hesitancy based on history, but most of those problems were caught early and the Covid vaccines have been in testing and rollout now for about 8 months. The world has a long way to go before this virus is controlled especially if Covid 19 is a result of gain of function research. And China isn’t cooperating.

Fully vaccinated percentage
World…..15%
USA……. 49%
Sweden.50%
Israel….. 73%

Israel is already giving booster shots to its seniors. The Delta variant is surging there even though 73% are fully vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine is only 39% effective there against the Delta variant.
——————————
Israelis are rushing to get a third vaccine shot as protection from the surging delta variant of the coronavirus. Over 420,000 Israelis older than 60 have received a booster shot, more than a third of the total targeted population. Israel is seeing a rising number of hospitalizations.

Ok just throwing this out for those that are still in panic mode over the vaccination.
IF and I say IF 50% of our country has been vaccinated:
35% of our country are children under 16yo from what I have read (true or not true). Not approved yet, so there is nothing you can do about it.
That leaves 15% not vaccinated that might or could be vaccinated.
How many of those have already been infected by COVID? If already survived COVID then there is no real need to get vaccinated yet.
Also, there are those that were told by their doc not to get vaccinated for medical reasons (like pregnant?)
There are exceptions and limits to the vaccine so some are still going to get infected.
So, get off your high horse and relax. We are doing good in this country.
