It’s very concerning to me. I don’t want them that close to our shores.

They are often close to our shores up around Alaska. Russia is pretty close to some of the far west Alaskan Islands.

And the subs could often be close in International Waters.

Not really concerned. We have a 12 mile limit on our coast and we all know that Russian subs and intelligence gathering "fishing" boats are spying 24/7 on us from our coastal waters. We can hardly control NON-American countries and who they allow in their coastal waters. Am I concerned? Not really. If they had nefarious plans, I am sure they could do it via their submarines.

How fast are the nuclear weapons in various subs? Some sub in Cuba is not a big worry especially if it does not have nuclear weapons.

I see they travel at 15,000 miles per hour. Some missiles out there could be faster.

Maybe It is just Russia's version of the Monroe Doctrine.

China will follow! China's next move is to befriend Russia with free lunches, and then present the bill! China watches every move Russia makes.

So in today’s news I read that the Canadian navy docked a ship at Havana, and the American navy docked an attack sub at Guantanamo.

In the Navy back in the 70s, on a destroyer. We had nuclear capabilities, and carried ASROC nuclear depth charges at all times. It’s What military ships do. A couple of ships is not a show of force

Those are Cuban tugs, required by port authority. Appeasement comments can be dangerous.

Can we vote on which 10 states they wipe out?

Nope. Not surprised in the least.

The only thing that surprises me is that Russia took so long to actually do it. Face it: we've been messing around over there only forever. And now with our questionably-thought-out support of Ukraine and particularly all the aid we've been supplying to them, Russia has it's hands full. Putin needs to save face.

Brinkmanship. Hasn't been played in awhile. I hope that the players still remember how to do it.

A $20B carrier battle group can be taken out in a millisecond by one $50M tactical nuke. It is almost comical to watch this DoD/StateD...it is like they are retarded.

Naval Boats, aka, Big Bathtub Toys = Targets.

At least Subs have real value.
