Most all cases time and multiple appeals (so lawyers can collect welfare checks) seems to get them off or lighter sentences. IMO they should be NO plea deals in murder cases. We have couple manslaughter local cases seems to be in freezer? Why was OLR released. Most with brain know why…

Easy have family member be on jury.

Of 780 men detained at GITMO only 16 were ever charged with a crime. Of the 30 remaining none have been charged. The cost of detention is $13M per person per year. Not only is justice delayed justice denied, it's expensive too. It's past time to resolve these cases and put 9/11 behind us. Since no one else has the political courage let Joe do it.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, has been charged with various crimes, including terrorism and murder. He has confessed to numerous crimes, including masterminding the 9/11 attacks, the Richard Reid shoe bombing attempt, and the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl, among others. Recently, he has reached a plea deal with U.S. prosecutors, agreeing to plead guilty to conspiracy in exchange for avoiding the death penalty and receiving a life sentence instead.

Still say shoot them when the door is open as they tried to escape.
No sympathy for them.

It has been 23 years and we haven’t even had a trial. Even if convicted, the appeals would probably take another 23 years. He is 59. So we are talking 2051 at the earliest.

News this morning said the deal is off. Something to do with someone higher up needing to approve the deal.

Since the defendants were tortured, a lot of the evidence is not admissible in a court of law.

I find it hard to believe that this issue lingers over 20 years later.
