I generally tape games and fast forward through the national anthem, so I have no idea who is taking knees. I fast forward through the commercials, so I have no idea who to boycott. My main worry is that the Brewers did not do enough in the off-season to make a run this year, but looking forward to the first game tonight at 6:10 Central vs. the Cubs. Play ball!

America's pasttime? Approximately 30 percent of MLB players are NOT Americans. Not that it should make any difference for someone having respect for a country's national anthem. But I thought it was interesting.

Pinella had a Bar inside Woodbridge Mall in N.J. and he was the most gracious man. Always had time for a picture or an autograph. He told some great stories and had a very colorful vocabulary.

If that is true, why is there so much angst on this board about the players 'statement' concerning the treatment of people of color?

I thought the statement showed great solidarity. And it showed that people are willing to adjust their actions to address the concerns of those on the other side of the issue by keeping it separate from the National Anthem.

Are you really concerned with the other minorities. There have been other protests and cries for change for decades in many areas of non-white discrimination. There is a constant demand to improve the handling of mental illness, homelessness, education for underprivileged students. What about the immigration protests? I guess you missed those while out golfing.

Huh?? I think you hear about it everyday. The peaceful protests that have been occurring around the country is made up of everyday black AMERICANs. Who do you think they are? In fact, the peaceful protests have races of all types in support of change.

I agree. I have complained in the past the the same people start up the same threads over and over. Unfortunately, the core issue still needs to be addressed, though, most posting of complaints and anger in TOTV and other forums is a waste of brain cells.
