In April, 1775 our ancestors got sick and tired of the British monarchy and basically kicked their butts out of our country. Now we are putting up with them again for some reason. For a lot of reasons our culture is upside down, and Harry and Meghan are front and center. But like all things popular culture, this too shall pass. But they will get rich(er) from it all.

It never amazes me that there are people who pay any attention to that type of drivel. Or to any royalty ... or almost any celebrity worship. Instead of celebrating spoiled people of extreme privilege (or those skilled at pretending to be someone else (actors), or grown men who still play with balls (athletes)), let's celebrate our scientists, engineers, doctors, first responders, financial risk takers (business owners), and everyone who makes an honest living and takes care of their family and neighbors.

I have NEVER understood why people look up to "so-called" famous people like the royals, sports stars, Hollywood stars, and other elites. At least, sports stars and Hollywood stars had to work at their profession to become stars. The Royals are Royals just by luck of birth. I can't look up to luck-of-birth people. Someone might as well look up to me as the Royals. I don't understand that concept and also the idea of "autographs". Would having Einstein's autograph make me a genius or even 1 brain cell smarter? Would having Brad Pitt's autograph make me more attractive to the opposite sex? I doubt it. So, ALL these elitists do NOT float my boat in any way. They are NOT meaningful to my life. Would life go on without Opera, Lebron James, or some soccer star. yes, I think so.

I would really like it if someone could explain to me why other people go Ga - Ga over elite, "famous" people. I would like to know what I am missing?

I am guessing you don’t have family that has chosen the gift of a child, no matter what race parents and grandparents are.

Skin tone is not what we ever wondered about. We worried about if they would be healthy, would they survive if born prematurely, would they inherit a cardiac or kidney issue.

But never did anyone in our family wonder what color eyes, hair, or skin tone they could be born with.

But it’s nice to know in today’s world people would think just as you have posted skin tone is important to them.

Well, just look at harry, looks nothing like prince Charles, but sure looks an awful like that Captain that Dianna was messing around with. So probably not a royal anyway.
