Default Yankee Clipper

About 4 months ago I did a “review” of Yankee Clipper.

The course was in bad shape then and it’s still in bad shape now.

Greens are full of weeds , tee boxes are in terrible condition.

What else can I say ? I didn’t take pictures today but if you’re interested, take a look at the ones I posted back then .

The course barely makes a C rating ……🙁

Just like Southern Star. Such a shame. They should be in excellent condition this time of year.

I agree ! Many of the executive courses have been brought up to at least a B level . I don’t know why these two are still struggling. 🤷

I live on Yankee Clipper and there were 5 palm trees on the course facing my back yard. Two died about 4 years ago and were never replaced. Another one is bent over from the latest Hurricane and looks like it could fall any moment. I see the crews working constantly on the greens, so it's hard to imagine they are in bad shape.

I played it Saturday, and had alerted my playing partner that made the reservation that it was going to be bad based on your post. Neither one of us thought it was bad at all, except for a lot of weeds invading the 7th and 8th greens. They clearly are working on the gold t-boxes, as the gold tees were on the green t-boxes on many holes. Definitely not off our rotation.

I’m glad you enjoyed playing it . I would not cross it off my list either but compared to some of the other courses that are in great condition, it deserves the C rating.

The reason you’re seeing tee boxes that are shared is because they are over-seeding.

Even the ambassador acknowledged the poor condition. He said that Southern Star is just as bad but I can’t personally vouch for that.

My “reviews” are basically no more than my opinion from an average golfer.

I do, however , respect yours….😁
