Default Green Tea?

Can you please give me some brand and flavor recommendations, and tell me where you purchase your favorite green teas? I've only tried two different green teas (many years ago), but they tasted awful (they tasted like dirty feet). Green tea is supposedly so good for you, I'd really like to find some I actually like. THANKS!

Tazo (brand) Zen Tea. Available in most super markets (Walmart has one of the lower prices).

ENJOY!

Default agree...

...used to be green tea did not taste so good. I just figured if people can learn to like black coffee and beer that it was not that bad. Now even Lipton has flavored green teas like Acai and blueberry tea and there is a citrus flavored green tea too....also you could just use 2 tea bags...1 green tea plus one with another flavor to it...Not sure where to buy these down there tho!

I drink a lot of tea, mostly green. I get it from an online company at adagio.com. I use loose tea but they do have their own type of tea bag which is far superior to what is bought in the stores. They contain whole tea leaves, not shredded pieces, like store tea bags, and they have enough room for the tea to expand as it steeps. They have maybe 100 different green teas.

But, don't get the idea that tea has to be green in order to be good for you. All tea is actually green tea. Black teas and oolongs start out as green tea and go though an oxidation process that changes their color. This was done in order to allow them to survive a log sea voyage from China to England way, way back when. It was found that the tea lasted longer if it were oxidized.

Anyroad, got to Adgio.com. If you order $50.00 the shipping is free. I order about $50.00 of tea about three or four times a year.

I was waiting for someone to say that! OK, I should have said it tasted as bad as dirty feet smell.

Does that explain it?

I just read an article with two low cal suggestions for making green tea taste better:
The first was to add a slice of fresh ginger root to the cup before you add the water.

The second alternative was to add a splash of bottled pomegranate juice before you drink it.

If you are so inclined.... !
