Default Rustic Rose

Went to lunch in Brownwood today. Afterwards my friend and I scoped out this new store. We were immediately overwhelmed by the smell in the store. The couple behind us said the same thing, turned around walked, we stayed. Made a quick trip around the store, nice things but just could not concentrate due to strong candle/cologne/soap odor. I understand some people like those smells, etc...but more and more people are finding them offensive. Most exercise classes here in The Villages ask participants not to wear heavy scents. The older we get the more sensitive we become to strong smells.
We actually wanted to say something to the women who we're working there but the store was crowded with mostly women who didn't seem to mind the strong odor. Many we just have sensitive noses!

I haven't been to the store but have heard about if from many of my friends. From what they tell me, candle/cologne/soap is what they sell. It's her product line. Most of what people talk about are her candles.

I personally can't wait to go, but as I've learned.... scents do bother some people.

Good post for the people who it would bother.

I agree. Hit me like a brick as soon as I walked in. I got a little used to it after a couple minutes but didn't think it was pleasant being there, although they have very nice and well priced things.

My daughter works at that store,,, I will tell her and the owners about it... I do have to agree with the scent in stores... That is why I do not go to Kirklands, it is overwhelming with a very strong smell. I have not noticed Rustic Rose to be as strong, But I have heard from others the same.
It did surprise me the pricing in the store, very reasonable for a store located on the square, usually the pricing is higher due to location. I will tell you that the owners are very nice and love being in the this area of The Villages.
They have a jewelry line called Lottie Dotties, I think my wife and daughters and have one of all they carry.

Thanks. Maybe they can tone the smell down just a bit.

I just love the store....want to go back when it isn't as crowded to get a few more things. I did not even notice the aroma....must have bad nose. I hope they survive since their prices are reasonable. Even my husband bought things.

Sadly, because of my asthma, I guess I won't be shopping there. Thanks for the post.
