Default wen haircare system

Forgive me if I've missed a previous thread regarding this, but I couldn't find it. Curious if anyone has used this product and how it worked for you. My hair is baby fine and I don't expect my hair to look like the models' hair on the infomercial, but, just curious I guess. I seem to be a real sucker for haircare products. Always looking for something to give my hair more volume!!! Thanks in advance.

My hair salon in TV talked me into buying this product, me stupid, I don't have really fine or thinning hair. The hair salon convinced me I'd see a dramatic increase in volume. After using the product for a while, I threw it away ... no changes noticed.

Another sucker for haircare products

I have been using it for about a year...love it. It does dry out my hair. And if I use another shampoo, my hair is fly away. Not cheap, but I'm worth it!!!

I'm glad to hear the product is working for you. From your avatar picture, you have lovely hair. Have you noticed an increase in hair volume?

Default As a former salon owner

I'm going to stick my two cents in... and try to be concise.

"Volume" in hair care lingo is a nebulous word. Reasons for 'lack of volume' are many. (I could bore you to death with a very LONG list)
There are many factors in the way people personally care for their hair, that no product can circumvent.

I researched WEN products when they first appeared. (I made a continual effort to be current in my knowledge, for my clients as well as myself.)
The ingredients are gentle (for most people) and this line was one that eliminated sodium laurel sufate from their shampoo formula. (a good thing to do, in my opinion)

Since then, other companies are beginning to eliminate this as well and are starting to advertise this in their marketing.

I think WEN is a very decent product. (as long as they stay with the original formula) I'm not excited about the way it is sold.... or the price.

It will clean your hair and scalp without disturbing the PH of the acid mantle of your skin.

If you want 'volume', we would have to investigate lots of factors unique to each individual, their haircut and their hair care regime in total. A good stylist/beautician/barber would certainly do this before recommending any product at all. Otherwise, it's a waste of intention.

I'm retired now, but if you have a question I might help with, please feel free to PM me.

if you want to try it order from qvc use it for a month and if you don't like it send the empty bottle back for a full refund. its worth it to try something you are unsure of and don't want to waste your money......good luck

I am blessed with thicker hair, so I really don't notice if it made it thicker. I like that my hair is not fly-away. You don't have to put other goop on it.

I am also a sucker for hair care products. My hair is naturally curly, which in Florida translates to naturally frizzy and pretty uncontrollable. Although my hair is very long (by TV standards) and thick, it if fine and thin on the crown area. I used the WEN for several weeks and found that it did NADA for my hair. Not softer, not more volume, not less flyaway. And it is expensive...I think I paid $50 for it. The new Dove shampoo with oil is 10 times better.

Thanks for the responses. I knew y'all would have an answer for me. Think I'll forgo the purchase.....as long as I keep hair fairly short-medium in length, I think I'll be okay. When I was a teen in the 60's-70's, I had long hair down to the middle of my back (much to my mother's dismay) - used to put HUGE rollers in my hair to give it some lift, but really, it didn't matter much back then. Everybody's hair was long and limp. Or, of course, the opposite: frizzy, bushy and difficult to control. My hair has always be "poker straight", so mine fell into the long and limp category. Modern technology has given us a lot of hair care products....some of them do great...some don't, but they've come a long way since then. Thanks again for your input.

Default Wen products

Yes, I use this product & it is great, just a little pricey. You should go online & order the trial kit for $29.95, I think. If you don't like it just cancel auto ship.
