Is their food any good?
It has been a while since I've visited one but the wings, fries, burgers, and fish sandwiches have always been good. (except for that one place with bad fries but it was towards closing so I suspect they had been sitting around a while).

I will definitely be going for the wings and fries.

Easy answer: Because they believe they will make money.

Who knows what went into determining that. Perhaps the absence of a well known sports bar led them to believe the name alone would draw customers. Perhaps they feel the demographic that is currently moving into the area will remember enjoying the food like I do. Given the cost of opening and running the business, there must have been something that makes them believe this location will be profitable. We'll see in a year or so if they were correct.

A new business does marketing and demographic research before choosing a location. I used to sell such demographic data to companies. I'm guessing the data they used includes The Villages as well as surrounding communities.

One can request a post be deleted to the moderator. I have asked twice since 2007 and both requests were granted and post removed completely.

IDK if you guys have been paying attention but there's A LOT of apartments going up all around the villages for singles and young families. There's also a lot of workers from the commercial areas east of TV in Leesburg so a short ride up 44 for dinner and a beer after work definitely is something I would have done in my younger days. Add in all us "creepy" old guys and I think they'll do fine. Personally, I'm glad to see more dining options coming in and around TV. I'm also looking forward to Harry and the Natives at Lake Okahumpka.

BUT most of them tip good! “Creepy and Gross” might be a bit of a stretch. The Villages is like no other retirement community and Leesburg, wildwood and other Lake County communities are not that far on SR 44. Don’t forget Middleton either.

Who said it was going to be young servers? I heard the average age who has applied for the server job is 68 years old

I have seen several comments about why would Hooters build in TV? I am sure they have done the study to show they can get employees and customers in this location. Lake Deaton Plaza is on the outer edge of TV and just up the road from Leesburg, this is probably why that location was picked?
