In Marion County, there have been about 137 new cases. About 15 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and about four deaths were reported.

In Sumter County, there have been about 128 cases. About ten of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.

The CDC updates the number of new cases regularly, if not daily, and anyone can view the numbers by visiting covid.cdc.gov.

Almost 1000 more cases in Lake County compared to the others,I find that hard to believe.

It's easy enough to check the website given in the article.

Of course, when you do that you will find that most of the numbers in the article don't match the CDC numbers.

Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.

About ten of the about 19 posts so far in this thread have relatively negative attitudes about threads posting statistics about COVID.

Somewhat.

The usual suspects are making the same arguments they made in every other single covid thread. And yet, no one's mind has been changed...

Could someone remind me of "the definition of insanity" is again?
