A child leaves home, when...16...18...more or less? Yes? A parrot doesn't leave home. You become his/her home from the moment you decide to make it your pet. That is when you knowingly, willingly, become a parront. You are responsible for his/her cage being cleaned regularly, for its feeding, for its medical attention. In essence, you change his cage daily, if not more often, for the parrot's lifetime, which can easily exceed 30 years. Not until they grow up. For their lifetimes. You are their parent. Because you choose to be. It is a lifetime commitment. One I doubt you can begin to fathom. |
