We think we had our passports stolen by someone at the Lady Lake post office.

The whole mail set up is very unprofessional. By the way, why is the mail delivery so slow in TV in general? If I mail it from my postal facility it takes weeks to get somewhere when it ordinarily should take days. Some things in TV are very hokey and amateurish and not up to real world standards and the postal system here is one of them.

Not directly related but we just had a bad experience at the Fruitland Park postal station on 466A. Dropped off a prepaid return and the female postal clerk gave me the bottom of the prepaid form to track the shipment. After checking with the supplier and no shipment having been received, took the prepaid tracking "receipt" to the window and asked them to check it. Clerk took the prepaid "receipt" into the back and came back and told me there was no record of the package being scanned. Lesson is, always get a post office receipt after seeing the clerk scan your item. Don't just drop your shipment with a prepaid return label and trust that it will be scanned. Somebody in the Fruitland Park post office is wearing a very nice bracelet... Her reply, "go file a complaint on the website".

In our experience the people behind the counter in the old little post office were so nice and helpful it was just fantastic. We mentioned the problem with mail reaching other people we mailed to and mail we were expecting never showing up. They seemed very concerned and pointed us toward an authority higher up the food chain.

We decided to do our outgoing mailings at the main Post Office on Route 25. That stopped half the problem.

We mailed letters to ourselves that appeared to be Birthday Cards and never received them. This is very good news that they pinched this woman. It appears they cracked the case so to speak. Hope she gets the maximum penalty.

Good job Postal Supervisor.

Default Will never get prosecuted.

I worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and a person who was the assistant building manager stole thousands of dollars in office equipment, tools and other equipment. He' was arrested and was never given anything in the way of jail time. These people will get off the hook because those who investigate and prosecute don't care anything about what has been stolen from the taxpayer. The courts are a joke in these cases, if the case ever gets to court.

Default Bummed!

Husband and I got to know Miranda when she worked for a few years at the Collier Postal Station. We are so saddened and disappointed that she is most unfortunately going to have her life ruined. We sincerely hope she gets the help she needs.
