Villagers should be aware that no payment is required to have an Architectural Review Committee application reviewed. The Villages District Office reminds residents that any request for payment is not legitimate and is a scam. Residents may occasionally receive official appearing messaging from individuals attempting to obtain personal information or payment. Any sort of communication

I think the response you got was wrong. To report a deed violation in The Villages, you can contact the Community Standards Department at 352-751-3912, or you can send an email to [email protected]. You may also mail your concerns to 3571 Kiessel Road, The Villages, FL 32162 or place them in your postal station amenity box without postage.

Thank you for this.
This literally just happened to us. A legitimate ARC approval after the meeting on Wednesday, followed by an email asking for a fee, which looked legit, followed by the actual ARC approval e-mail, which of course, asked for no fee. The scammers must be monitoring the public facing ARC information, and exploiting the email addresses of people awaiting a response. |

Intrusive based on what? Is some of the home extension on your property? Do you know for certain it is not ARC approved? It seems strange that a contractor would build an extension to a home that violates the law. I may be wrong, but permits from the city or county code enforcement would also be required? The contractor would be held responsible and could lose his license.
