Thumbs down Not to mention being illegal.

"Experienced" golf balls retrieved from water features, are a revenue source for a lot (most?) courses.

I don't know if they hire divers in TV, but I can't help but think that GC managers frown on cheapskates......wandering around looking for balls.

Most courses in Florida contract professional used golf ball companies to clean the ball out of the ponds. I am wondering if the person you saw was one of them.

There were 2 Gators in the Palmer Pond the other day. The guy better be careful or the Gators will be hawking ba**s.

OK, maybe this is a stupid question, but how do they do it at the Sarasota Driving Range?

If I knew I wouldn't post because people are arguing about dumb stuff on other threads. It must be a full moon.

I personally wouldn't be wading in ponds. This is alligator mating season. Boy Howdy.

At Sarasota the balls float to the edge and are gathered without getting wet.

i am thinking they have to clean out the golf balls or the water level would rise to the road with mountain of golf balls that take a swim

Those balls are "floaters" and are removed from the waters edge.

In the summer when the courses are empty, if i hit my ball on the waters edge, i take my ball retriever and get my ball. If there are other balls within reach i get them also. Not holding anyone up ..
