Putting 101........ the Grip............

The top of a putter grip is flat because ....... no it isn't there to hold snacks or tea
Flat is to rest your thumbs on.......... the desired grip pressure is done thru your thumbs
Not too tight not too loose just right. Probably a 6 out of 10 on the scale

Why do you go to a palm reader? To read your life lines......... The bottom of those lines located in between your palms are what rest agains the golf grip. Your fingers then use wrap under about a 6 also. The putter grip is held in your vices at about 6 also. From this position you stand a better chance of the club face making square contact with the ball. If these are off, so is your contact.

if you grip your putter into your lifelines it should fit snugly. If there is any air there, your grip is too small. If it's more than snugly the grip is too big. Grip size means more than golfers think. Super stroke grips are nice and they come in a variety of sizes which is great. And for those artists some do come in different colors. Stay away from pink.

And with other grips golfers talk about 1 or 2 extra wraps of tape to get to size. BS-head cases....... 1/64th of an inch difference... you're not that good--just a head case-hopefully thats not you.

Long ago there was a study of weight lifters. They lifted weights in front of a wall, and they would changer the color of that wall to see if it affects performance. And it did. The least amount of weight they could lift happened when the wall was pink. So if you want to beat an opponent wear a pink shirt, you don't see it but they do all day long and you will win. Keep that in mind ladies too. It has too relaxing an effect on folks.

The length, lie, and head weight feel of your putter also matter a lot. With the grip it's the Fantastic Four. If you bought off the rack you might only have the Fantastic One or two and your putting skill won't be maximized.

They advertise a lot of new technology in putters, but, if you don't have the fantastic four they will only work sporadically at best. If you don't know how to do this, get putter fit at your local golf shop. And if they are not taking care of all the fantastic four. Go to a different golf shop. If you don't care how you putt then just pick the pretty one.

Negativity kills putting. If you don't like the color of your putter, its shape, or the color of the grip you got the wrong putter. Same can be said of the putter head cover. When you look at that head cover and putter it should putt a smile on your face. Keep that positivity on the green, it can work wonders.
