Never had or known of a problem with system.
Your use of it finishes on day rental ends.
The situation you quoted, must have been an odd incident.
Agree. Plus…... You need more than a villages ID to get a drivers license. So there’s obviously more to this story

We have rented homes for a number of years. The owner notifies the Villages and we pay $50 for a resident pass (transferred for a specified period by owner). We check in at the Villages Sales Office to get that pass and pay $50.00. At that time, they go over all the information and you set up an ID to schedule golf on line. Everything is explained and easy. We have never had a problem. The Villages Sales office answers everything.

Agreed. The application has to stipulate a start and stop date and come from the owner with their signature as authorization. It can’t be extended without their authorization. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years without incident.

The guests can play as long as they have the id# of the resident they are visiting.

Everything you need to know about golfing in the Villages.

The days ( future ) that a Villager doesn’t need to be present with non-Villagers to golf will add ( rapidly) to the decline of conditions already being taxed.

Wow... The question the OP wrote was about "Guest golfing" for guests with guest ID's and it spiralled into a thread about renting, transferring ID's, squatting, Air Bnb's etc. etc. etc. Just amazing. Wish I knew the answer, but I don't. Sorry OP

So we can add your 'nothing of value' to the end of your list! Just a normal day on a TOTV thread topic.

But "guest ID"? What would that be? The piece of paper guest pass is the only one I know of and it is for what a month or so unless local relative that fall under the yearly category.

Very good point you make. With proper paperwork you can't claim "squater" in DeSantis' new law on squating. The right ID entitles recidency and then court eviction to get them out.

In OP's case they are "friends". Or are they str like ABnB'ers in reality?

So the issue is how can they play golf if the owner is not with them on a "guest, really, pass then without a green (owner id) or a blue (renter id)... answer like all the str people do.

T V must have a "back door policy" on the owner having to be present rule right... short term renters enjoy living the lifestyle in the massive resort called T V all them time without owners being present. You know the golf capital of the world.
If you refer to the districtgov website, they are called Guest ID’s not passes.
