Like LV2RDHD - most of my clubs are from eBay. (I think we would both rather spend our $$$ on wine)

I recently bought new clubs at Watts - that were fitted for me. I had tried many different kinds and these were the ones I liked best. because I needed a longer length and different offset, I had no luck finding them "preowned."

Watts does fittings and will work with your price range. For example, they have a good Adams set that my neighbor bough for around $800. Good enough to develop your game with - at at fair price.

One point to consider is that some of the most pricey clubs are not designed for the average or beginner golfer. Also, have checked clubs out from Palmer within the past year with no fee charged.
