The Executive Golf Improvement Group is seeking two residents to represent the new courses in Districts 9 & 10, which are: Palmetto (Dec 2012), Mangrove (Fall 2013), Sweetgum (Fall 2013), Sarasota (Fall 2014), Escambia (Fall 2014),and Volusia (Fall 2014).

within that CDD District, or who plays these courses on a regular basis, no matter where they reside.
--Commitment to attend 2-3 hour meetings on a quarterly
basis (2nd Thursdays in Jan., April, July & Oct.)
--Attend the “Good Golf” school within 3 mos. of appoint-
ment (or provide evidence of attendance within the last
three years)
--Commitment to play and/or survey these courses at least
quarterly, but preferably more often

If you have questions or are interested in being considered for these appointments, please PM me.

We have a volunteer for District 5, but still need people to volunteer for the new courses south of 466A that will start opening this December through 2013-14. It's a great opportunity to work with other people interested in the quality of the executive golf experience and the golf staff.

The time involved is minimal. Play or tour the courses in your district and report your findings.

PM me for more information.

Wonder why all those people who complain about golf course conditions don't volunteer?

They are probably snow birds. Like everything else around here your opinion doesn't matter. Like this position you have to live here year round. You can own a home and pay taxes but you can't have an opinion.

The reason for the full-time requirement is that we need the courses to be monitored year round. If we have a seasonal resident on the group, there will be times when they are not available to look at the courses. If the other member responsible for those courses is also a seasonal resident, then others on the committee would have to cover those as well as their own courses. If the other member is a full time resident, it still adds to their workload.

We also would lose the input from a seasonal member at the meetings when they are not here.

From my years on the committee, I can assure you that our comments are considered and acted upon more often than not.

Trust me our opinion doesn't count either, If it did we would not have to wait two more full years for the new executives to finish opening. We have been over crowded for 1-2 years and it appears it will continue. They have built 5000 new homes and zero new exec courses in the past two years. Tarpon Boil was the last new course and that has been about 2 years ago. It is getting harder and harder to have a tee time request filled.
When I moved here 2 1/2 years ago thyey said the new executive courses would be built before the homes were. NOT

Overcrowded ?????????? I've only been booted from the system twice this year, and it was my mistake. I play 6 days per week on exec's.

Guess that shoots the other theory down.
