Default Happy Birthday to Richard Harris .

Richard Harris Movies & TV Shows List | Rotten Tomatoes | Rotten Tomatoes

I recall that my Native American studies high school teacher took our class to see A Man Called Horse in Reno, Nevada. I still have a hard time thinking about that one scene in A Man Called Horse which was quite a stretch.

Mr. Harris was also quite the musician with MacArthur Park.

One of the all-time greats. I particularly liked him in Unforgiven (English Bob) and Gladiator (Marcus Aurelius) but he had a whole lot of great roles.

Not a bad singer either. Anyone remember the song "MacArthur Park" back in the late 1960s? That was him. Made the top ten in both the UK and the USA.

He was also a memorable party reptile, notorious for his boozing and wild lifestyle. He was one of the original "Hellraisers", a sort of informal club of British thespians which also included Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole and Oliver Reed.

He didn't live very long . He made a great Headmaster in the first two Harry Potter movies.

I would have liked to have seen that . I went to few plays at the Guthrie Treater as a season ticket holder. Really angered my girlfriend/roommate at that time as she had grown up in the theater. Not the Guthrie but smaller productions in the Midwest.
