There will be minimal remorse.

Actually, I have a great deal of hope for and confidence in youth! Mine when I had it and today's youth as well. I've been in area schools, judged entrepreneurship projects, talked to homecoming queens and football captains while giving them rides in their homecoming parade. They are smart and ambitious people with interesting ideas and dreams. Not one of them asked for anything. Mostly they just gave me a sense of hope in our future - with them leading. The way we did,

Smile Good thing in the Villages

The one good thing in the Villages is when folks start jumping out the windows, they don't have very far to fall!

It depends on how deep and long the correction lasts. If it is a quick blip, it doesn’t matter.

If it is a 20-30% correction, the issue is whether you should bail out now and pay 15% capital gains or ride out the loss. My dad always told me that you never lose money if you sell at a profit.

China so far ahead of the US on so many fronts. I was reading the other day where they were operating data centers underwater….utilizing sea water to cool the units which were driven by wind power……Dang, Thats smart!
yet another one that knows NOTHING about datacenters. I'd welcome one. All of your assumtions are completely wrong. As far as operating under sea water.... that's total BS same for wind power. netiher has the ability to do anything more than damage the datacenter.

How about you get educated on Datacenters before you make ridiculous commentary.

have to congratulate our (lack) of education system and media outlets for dumbing them down. ..but they will eventually learn that their idea won't ever work. Especially when 50% of the policies will never be able to happen.

Is this the big one that people have been talking about for years?

There are some people with a financial expertise on this board. Would love to hear your comments. Ride it down or sell and go 100% cash? 50% cash and 50% stocks?

If the market fell by 20%, how would you be affected? How about 50% or 90%?

The only good news is that our RMDs will probably be smaller next year!
Billionaires control stock market, common people nickel and dime investment ones that gets gobbled up.

50%? IMO a very conservative estimate.

Buy when index 20 or below. Sell when 40. Worked 7x in a row. It’s a churn market

That last sentence is good for the individual, but if too many people sell, then it is BAD for the economy and the whole country.

AI investors are running out of patience about WHEN it becomes profitable. And it has regulations on it in Europe now, but right today it is NOT regulated in the US. That could soon change. It certainly is not a SAFE investment, so it might not be appropriate for MOST retirees.
