WeWork was a scam from the beginning, and, fact: no WeWork offices left, the company is gone, never to be missed by anyone.
Space Travel with 1,000,000,000% certainty is here to stay. Any doubts here? Maybe the valuation of that IPO is too expensive. Actually for sure, it's too expensive. So I did not invest despite knowing that Elon Musk succeeded, is succeeding and will succeed in the space race. No serious competition so a great moat for SpaceX. |

"A man colony on Mars and non-earth-based data centers are "improbable"
That is one accurate statement even tough it was done for balance sheet purpose. A manned trip to the Mars surface requires a launch from the Moon per Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation...Unless you want to abandon them there...You can't carry enough energy for an Earth launch mission. |

The good news is that we essentially have the technology for those labs, including growing meat, which is essential for survival of humans. Elon's brother, Kimble Musk works on that. |

No reason to go to Mars. Nothing there. No water, and no soil that will grow anything. And dust storms that will destroy anything we try to build there. Freezing cold. The atmosphere does nothing to retain heat or stop radiation.
Setting up bases on the moon makes far more sense. Closer to earth. Lower gravity. No atmosphere to push dust around. Perfect jumping off point for deep space missions to places that have something we might actually want. |

Have you ever known anyone like Elon Musk where so many people including our government
throws money at him for any of his crazy ideas??

I suspect it will happen but likely new technology will get us there and allow us to live on Mars. |

Nothing succeeds like success. And in Elon’s case his success speaks—roars, actually—for itself.

I believe the starlink business is also wrapped into spaceX IPO. It’s not just space travel and satellite launch business. The real future and value of the company will be starlink.

Not a single(!) place closer on earth allowed some freedom for the Pilgrims. Not a single place! Elon wants to build things and store / provide data from Space where no earthly government can "regulate" things. My prediction: Just as it was with Spain, Britain and France when America was discovered, there will be a race to "conquer" moons and planets. The next prediction: as always in history, those Earthly governments will fail because: A. They are already failures on Earth (China, Russia, Europe), B. Mostly they will fight each other until exhaustion so the non-Earthly (Pilgrims) will win against them. Cheers! |

Nobody is even going to survive a 9 month trip to Mars. It is not a technical challenge, it is physics. Radiation and zero gravity will kill anyone. Man going to Mars is just fantasy for no reason. |

Starlink is the only profitable business and with diminishing profit over time. The only value of SpaceX is a little bit more cargo capacity...Dang rocket equation! SpaceX will boost Starlink next-gen satellites (bigger/heavier/higher thoughput) into orbit.

It’s the technology you would be investing in with Space X. New chips, space based data processing innovations, production facilities and technology that spans across different manufacturing processes. Space offers an unlimited power supply, secure data and speed of light data transferences across the planet.
