Default Christmas lights, really?

OK, now this is getting ridiculous. 364 days until Christmas and some people are already putting up Chrismas lights. Really?

Truth. Here in North Carolina, in the Ingles grocery store, they were stocking the shelves with Valentine's Day merchandise today.

That is just a little over a month away...... Having sold to retailers I am more aware of when merchandise is committed to and delivered. When it is displayed is another decision.

Saw it in wake forest, NC Target today as well. They don't waste any time preparing for the next money maker!

We actually bought a ton of lights, garland, and a couple of lighted deer for our yard today, Dec 26th. We didn't move the old outdoor decorations with us when we moved, and our kids and grandkids are coming to celebrate with us for New Year's Eve and Day.

We got more than a few strange looks as we decorated outdoors today. But at 50%-75% off, we were certainly feeling the Christmas spirit!

I'm retired now, but as a RN I learned during my working years, that Christmas is whenever you and you loved ones can make it work. And we certainly look more festive tonight than last night!

I'm sue there are some others out there who did the same!

My family is having Christmas on the 27th. It's the people who are important...not the date!

Rosygail. I am so glad to see you back in stride and doing well. Every time I think of you, I remember the loving posts your husband made while you were so sick.

I am so glad to know that you will be having Christmas TODAY. Hugs to YOU, girl. and every good wish for a Happy Christmas and continued good health.
