Default How Many Reindeers Did Santa Have?

Did you know that according to the song, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", Santa has twelve reindeer?

Sure, in the introduction it goes "There's Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen..." That makes eight reindeer. Then there's Rudolph, of course, so that makes nine.

Then there's Olive. You know, "Olive the other reindeer used to laugh..." That makes ten. The eleventh is Howe. You know, "Then Howe the reindeer loved him..." Eleven reindeer. Oh, and number 12? That's Andy! "Andy shouted out with glee."

The proof is in the song!

That link you provided reminded me that there were eight presidents and one vice-president reindeer. The song goes.... feel free to sing along....

♫ You know Eisenhower and Kennedy, And Johnson and Nixon,
Carter and Reagan and Bush and there's Clinton.
But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?

Biden the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Biden, play in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Obama came to say,
"Biden with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him, and they shouted out with glee,
"Biden the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!" ♫

I got this to say.

Enough reindeer to have brought the old guy and his sleigh and his gifts and his wonderful spirit to many a home here in TV. He generously dropped some lovely things at our house and apparently inspired several of our neighbors to arrive at our door with homemade goodies and surprises.

He visited a friend in Hadley in PERSON while the kids were still awake last night. Her entire bunch of grands were there and we came in just after he exited.

What fun.

I love Santa. I believe

There's nothing like to wonder of a small child at Christmas.
