Default The Retiree's Interview

I recently got interviewed by a weekly newpaper from my hometown. The subject was retirement. Here are some of the questions and answers.

Q: How do you see the days of the week?
A: Usually as 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday.

Q: When is your normal bedtime?
A: Normally three hours after I fall asleep on the couch.

Q: As a retiree, how many of you would it take to change a light bulb?
A: Only one, but it might be an all-day project.

Q: What's your biggest gripe being a retiree?
A: There is not enough time in the day to get everything done.

Q: Do you mind being called a senior?
A: Not at all. The term comes with 10% discount.

Q: Among your fellow retiree's what do you consider formal attire?
A: Shoes with laces.

Q: Why do so many retiree's count pennies?
A: They are the only ones who have the time.

Q: What is a common term for someone who says they enjoy work and refuses to retire?
A: Nuts!

Q: As a retiree, why are you so slow to clean out the attic or garage?
A: Because I know that as soon as I do, one of our adult kids will want to store stuff there.

Q: What's the biggest advantage of going back to school as a retiree?
A: If I cut classes, no one calls my parents.

Q: Why do retirees often say they don't miss work but miss the people they used to work with?
A: They're too polite to tell the whole truth.
