Default See your old addresses or favorite "haunts"

This is really amazing...check out some of your old addresses or favorite "haunts".

When you enter an address you will see a picture of that place. There's a little map with a little man on it - you can move the little man up and down the block if you need to. I just looked at my childhood home! Really nice website!

Its amazing. The Bronx house is still standing and actually looks better than it did then ....
Also looked up some of my houses in LA to see if they were torched from the last fires, and they were okay also. Interesting site... Thanks, Barb...

Barb, thanks much for the link. Another excellent resource is Google Earth. From its Website:
"Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean. You can explore rich geographical content, save your toured places, and share with others."
It also has a Street View feature. Google Earth is a free download and is fabulous, educational and fun! You can download it from: http://earth.google.com/

Another nice thing to do on a day.

That was way cool - wish I could remember all the addresses, or even the street names, of all the places I've lived in the last 35 years. 10 years ago I moved back to my hometown, so have seen all the childhood places, but not all the places I lived in while an adult.

I did remember one of them in Collierville, TN that was brand new when I lived in it, neat to see how the neighborhood matured. Now I'll be racking my brain to remember more!

Thank you!

I use the little man on maps.google.com all the time. I've checked out hotels and B&Bs I'm not familiar with to see what the neighborhood looks like, have checked out unfamiliar places where I'm going so I can spot them when I'm driving, etc. Not every place has been photographed but I've been surprised at how many have. The vpike site uses google.
