I'm available to help but in my wildest dreams couldn't be as controversial as our boy W. Maybe he broke a nail or a knuckle fixing the Cheby! He's Fine I'm sure. Nothing could be finer than having the gang back here and in Three Word Sentences.

Yeah, I'm not surprised.......NOTHING but gullible, I am.

As far as D goes, if I remember correctly, he got upset that they deleted some of his posts and decided to leave TOTV altogether. I'm sorry he did - he was a great poster who had a lot to offer the forum in kindness and wisdom.

Wisdom & Kindness are but two of the qualities that he shared with everyone. Short and Sweet, Nothing but a fine person and it is a loss to not have him around to brighten each day a little more but thank God we still have the Joke Machine.....CFrance. Everyone makes a contribution in their own way.

So good to "see" you all on here today. I thought I was just going to have a NOTHING day at work. Instead my day turned into a big something. Anyone else ever have a deer hit you head on.......I mean run down the road straight at your car? I never saw the thing coming until.....CRASH! Between it being almost dark and the lights of the cars coming in the other direction that were blinding me, I never saw the darn thing coming, but the sound of my headlight literally shattering....holy mackeral! Had to crawl out of the passenger side of the car because the door jammed.

Thank heaven no one was hurt. No one except the deer, that is.

What an end to a relatively good day! Time to take some Tylenol and head to bed. My son said I probably hurt myself more from getting out of the car than the impact of the deer. He's probably right.........it's tough getting old.

Holy cow! I'm glad you're alright. That's NOTHING but scary.. I hope you're not too sore come morning..

How much damage did you do to your car other?

And no, I've never had a deer come straight for me.. Did have a turkey come though the windshield when I was stationed in TN. though.

I would say the damage is more than my car is worth. We'll see - hubby is taking it for an estimate today. It's old, but I love that darn car. We bought it 15 years ago on our 20th wedding anniversary. It was the last one that we bought brand new and I got it loaded - hey, it was our anniversary. Smooth drive, never gave us a problem. NOTHING but a great car.

Yeah, I guess I'm kind of attached to the old gray mare - that's what I call it....lol So we'll see what happens. If anyone can find a way to keep her, my husband will figure it out. He's got a gift for not spending any more money than absolutely necessary.

I should have added......I'll keep you posted as to whether my car becomes a NOTHINGmobile or not.

If it does, I guess NOTHINGVILLE would be the perfect place to leave her.

Sheeesh Abby, glad ur OK. I hope U can save the Ole Gray Mare. Remind's me of my younger day's deer hunt'in in Michigan. For two years in a row I hit a deer
with my Pick-UP truck before I even got to the camp site.... NOTHING but BAD Luck....

That is bad luck. Did you keep going back after that? If so, bet you were NOTHING but very careful.

The suburban area I currently live in is worse for deer on the road than my hometown area that was in the middle of deer hunting country. You could hunt right in my backyard here versus having to go into the woods.

You reminded me of a story about my brother who has since moved to Florida, but when he was still living in our hometown area he was driving along and a deer ran right into the driver's side window. Lucky for him, he saw it coming out of the corner of his eye and was able to turn his head the other way because glass flew everywhere when the deer shattered the window. Better him than me - I would have been NOTHING but totally freaked out!
