Good morning, gang!

Looking at my schedule this morning and this is what I see - busy, work, busy, work, vacation - then busy, back to work. And here's what I ask myself - Where's the NOTHING??

It's no wonder time goes by so fast even though I'm not where I want to be, which is retired and in TV. The days and years just keep rolling by......

Vacation could be considered NOTHING but I think it will be more like something considering I'll be in a house with 3 out of 4 under the age of 33 including a toddler. One things for sure, it probably won't be quiet! Thank goodness they're all people I love - I'll just have to keep remembering that - lol

Really miss being around the under 33 crowd and not for NOTHING. Have to get a graduation card for my grand niece who will be leaving high school in Reno, Nevada. Never met her though or her Mom or brother as they are the branch of the tree my younger brother never told us about when he was alive. Quite a secret to come looking for information about genes and the like. Then most of the rest of the family are in CA, NV or the Tampa Bay area.

It always amazes me how fast the time goes by. I plan things for a year out and all of a sudden it is NOTHING but over and we are on to the next thing.

That little shack in North Carolina was NOTHING but impressive Abby. We investigated N.C. for a minute but couldn't escape the fact that we could still see SNOW. The only SNOW we wanna see is on TV, Not in TV'S!

Mrs. Nucky always said that vacations with the kids were just like taking the Show On The Road! Needed a Vacation to get over Vacation.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, except the day after we get back home we are going to have overnight guests for the next 3 days, then right back to work. NOTHING but chaos. I'm just hoping it will all end up being fun chaos and any problems that might arise are not my problems - lol. There will be a lot of estrogen flying around in that house too. Even I sometimes need a break from that..... Three stories to move around on should help though, and of course there's always the solitude of the beach right out the front door.......aaahhhhh.......I'm NOTHING but soaking in that solitude as we speak.

I have not seen any snow since that around Chicagoland in 1994. Had flown in from the wine country of CA in September to help out relatives there and then flew back after a short trip to Raleigh/Durham to interview at the NCCU Law Library (Go! Eagles) in December of 1994. Then we moved to FL in 1996. Have been on some trips (El Paso in December 2000) (DC 2015) but these also with no snow. And not for NOTHING.

Had seen a lot of snow around the mountains in Reno and was in Denver for a year. Those 5.5 years in Minneapolis also had a lot of snow and cold weather. The first almost ten years of my live in WI also had quite a lot of white stuff.

Speaking of solitude, I also spotted a nice office in that little shack. I'm hoping no one else gives a hoot about it because I've got my eye on it. Hoping to claim it as my space to sit and do NOTHING once in awhile.

Snow can be beautiful if you are warm and cozy by a fireplace and all you have to do is NOTHING.

I did like looking at the snow out the window in Denver and Minneapolis. And not for NOTHING.

Reno does not get much snow but the mountains around it do.

Clint Eastwood's BD is today and not for NOTHING.

Had been talking about Clint Eastwood when I had my nervous breakdown in March-April of 2000 in the Clearwater, FL area. Was babbling about 224 and 613 in front of the admission station in a Clearwater hospital. Quite a story. I have been pretty much on an even keel since then weathering the waves so to speak.

Love most of Eastwood's movies. I had been casting the movie I wanted him to direct while in the intake ward at that hospital. Kind of funny when I look back at it. I would expect some of those doctors and nurses remember it.

Put NOTHING but your foot down and claim Dibs on it now before someone else desires it. Just make sure its Air Conditioned.
