Another good saying I heard from a dear friend recently was to quit trying to fix things and start realizing. So now realizing has become my mantra to help me to deal with the possible changes by bringing to light truth first, then making decisions based on that and not emotion or putting yet another temporary fix on a situation. Life is NOTHING but too short to waste at this point. Sorry to bore you all this fine morning. Any day we wake up is a good day, right? I'll try not to make NOTHING a downer or too much like "Dear Diary" - lol. That's why I was hesitating yesterday to continue posting here, but I value your (all of my NOTHING buddies) wisdom and encouragement. And the laughs on here is what often gets me through the day so please carry on. I mean really......CARRY ON :pepper2:  |

And to be honest, selfishly speaking, this thread keeps me going and is probably NOTHING I should avoid. Lots of care and camaraderie (or is it comradery....hmm) on here and the laughs can be exceptional. Why give that up during trying times?? |

Just realized with all my blabbering I went from being Gold to being Platinum. Kind of like Royal Carribbean except it's not going to help me to get free booze just more NOTHING.

God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world As it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right If I surrender to His Will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life And supremely happy with Him Forever and ever in the next. Amen. |

Thanks, my friend. I actually don't think I've ever heard the second part of it so thanks for sharing. NOTHING but words to live by, for sure. No matter what, I am grateful for my faith which always sustains me. Also for the abundance of caring friends that God has placed in my path over the years, even my NOTHING friends - like Nucky said NOTHING but the bestest! |

This is the hardest part so they put it right up front:
God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change NOTHING harder than to stand back and watch a train wreck and know you can't do a thing about it. You bet the booze is important. The last cruise we went on we left the ship with a bill for $3.47 because we go so much stuff free (if you don't count the thousands of dollars that we have spent on previous cruises) |

NOTHING but going through mail, paying bills, grocery shopping, and laundry for me today. Oh, and then there's dinner to be made - aren't we having a fun day off from work? Well the good news for me is I don't have to go into work tomorrow since I'm doing 2 back to back 10 hour days on Tuesday and Wednesday. :MOJE_whot: Although I shouldn't be so overjoyed. I could use those extra bucks toward my goal of winning a bet I made with someone. |
Btw, hope my Nucky NOTHING is okay. Haven't heard from him all day.

Want to place a bet that K fell asleep? After all, it's nap time for him. He's had NOTHING but a lot of practice for retirement living. |

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf, So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay. Robert Frost |
Hello you bunch Of lovely NOTHING’S. You know that little daddy that Mr K let rip earlier today? Words to live by fo certain. No matter what one foot in front of the other and just keep going. The entire family is together today and I need an umbrella around here for the rears. My contribution is to shut up until someone asks me a question. I just want peace and to not make things any worse.
What happened was for a reason I can’t explain but the answer will come one day with NOTHING but faith. Life is good! Simple things make me happy. I didn’t forget my NOTHING. |

In the midst of NOTHING I was able to get dinner on the table and clean up the kitchen. Don't say I can't multi-task!
On target for an early bedtime again tonight. Have to catch up on 3 weeks of little to no sleep. Nap time never seemed to be an option. Not that I'm good at that anyway. Is napping a skill set one develops after retiring? Are there classes in TV that teach that? Or are you guys all just naturals like my husband? |
