You got that message all wrong, buster.......I implied no such thing. In fact I was hoping for just the opposite so I can get to sleep early. Somehow I'm not sure this sounds any better, but you know exactly what I mean. :ohdear:

I'm beginning to think you've been hanging out with our former 2 NOTHINGS on the side......the 2 naughty ones not the ones we talked about earlier today.

Don't mind us, sometimes we get into these little spats. It's NOTHING really. They didn't put me in the position of Den Mother for NOTHING. Keeping K under control is a lot easier than those other 2 were. In fact, I don't usually have to keep K under control. I have no idea what's gotten into him lately. I mean I didn't start anything. :o

Pardon my manners for not asking, how was your day today?

I was NOTHING but busy making excuses and passing the buck in my last post that I failed to ask.

Well you did issue a challenge. Men are NOTHING but super competitive.

Actually I did get my nap in. I don't know if it is the weather or just residual tiredness from my surgery but I do NOTHING but enjoy my nap lately.

Yeah, W used to say I like to play with boys more than girls. I explained to him my whole life has been pretty much surrounded by boys/men- both my husband and my family pretty much only produce boys, only a few girls scattered in here and there, and in my profession back when I first started out it was mostly men. So I guess it's a comfort zone for me. W said he kind of surmised that by my interaction. However, if I feel at all uncomfortable, I will do NOTHING but back off. There has to be mutual respect with the bantering, and all in all, it has pretty much been that way here.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy female company as well. That's why it's nice to have you on here. In fact, I hadn't had extended girl time for so long that I think that's why I didn't want to come back home between staying with my cousin and then my sister. It was a blast! My friends around here are all so busy - many still work full-time or are very involved with their family.

Good for you. I think that is NOTHING but a healthy thing to do especially if your body is telling you that you need it.

Abby10 07-30-2018 05:38 PM

I think I scared K off again. Either that or he's waiting for another compliment like last night to draw him back. NOTHING doing, I'm not going to fall into that trap - lol. I think he actually enjoys getting me in trouble.

In the meantime, I do kind of feel sorry for him. He's been outnumbered on here lately. I would count Nucky's presence as only half here.

You never have to have a reason for a nap.. They are NOTHING but nature's little pick-me-ups..

Hey I just realized, Nucky said he would be here today, but no Nucky.......

I think he decided to give 3 word a little attention earlier today and forgot all about us. Can't wait until his project is completed and he can spend more time with us doing NOTHING.

I used to have to sit through these. There was a commercial on tv for Geico that brought back memories of them. Have you seen this? NOTHING but hysterical.

Luckily ours are a little more structured than that and done by phone. When it gets to my place in the contract review they ask if I have any questions or concerns. I've been doing this long enough and dealing with a lot of the same people that I usually have NOTHING to say. Then I click off and go home.. lol

And you call that work? You need to spend a day at work with me. Well, not so much the job I have now, but any jobs I had previous to this were NOTHING but abusive. Oh yeah, work smarter not harder........took me almost 60 years to learn that. Never said I was a quick learner.

Getting the contract is the easy part. Doing the work, not so much. lol

If it took you 60 years to learn to work smarter not harder, you're right, you're NOTHING but a slow learner.. :crap2:

Well, it might have been less than 60.....

As far as your work goes, I don't envy the physical part. No heavy lifting at my job. I mean how much could a bottle of pills actually weigh? It's the mental part of it and the constant multi-tasking that can NOTHING but wear you down. If I didn't have the job I have now, I would have been done at least 5 years ago. Every day you pray you don't make a mistake - it's nerve wracking when you're working at a fast pace. My husband much prefers the physical labor he does now and is glad to be out of that rat race. He does nap a lot though......and probably rests more peacefully than before.

I can't imagine the focus you must have to do your job. I'd probably put the wrong pills in the wrong bottle..

I trust NOTHING to chance though. If they send a different shape or color of one of my meds I always look it up on line to make sure it's the right drug. Why do they make the same drug in so many different shapes and colors? lol

Nucky 07-30-2018 07:54 PM

That explains NOTHING but the pup tent in the Ballroom! The script was wrong. Pills were blue, I thought they were Aleve’s. Damn. Mistakes happen. There are Naps and THERE ARE NAPS! I hope you all have the latter, always better with a partner. :) BADA :boom:

I definitely miss our boy!

Good for you. I think it's funny that so many people think only a pharmacist can find out that info. I mean, sure, I can use a pill identifier program but why bother when google is so much easier...lol. I do tell my customers never to take anything if they're unsure and to call first. Better to be NOTHING but safe than sorry. Probably what I enjoy most is the patient education and talking to the customers in general. Should have been a teacher. It was actually what I really wanted to go to school for but my parents talked me out of it because teachers made NOTHING back in those days. So my guidance counselor suggested pharmacy since I did well in and liked chemistry. See, I may be a slow learner, but I'm not dumb.....:p

There he is, our infamous Nucky! NOTHING but happy to see you - not a pun, really I'm just happy you're here.

Boy, could I tell you some stories. Well actually, my husband could tell you more. He always seemed to have the most unusual customer experiences. With me, they would see me and ask for the pharmacist......when I told them I was the pharmacist, they asked for the male pharmacist. :sigh:

All kidding aside we check 95% of the medicine we bring home because people are allowed to make errors. NOTHING wrong with double checking it’s no reflection on anyone. 95% correct is an A in my book. Rough job.

Do you have any funny condom purchasing stories that may be amusing? Young people must be sweating when they are buying the very thing that can keep them alive and delay parenthood.

Nowadays I don't think kids are shy about much of anything. But I will say it can get NOTHING but interesting when they're looking for something like that and can't find it. Then when they have to ask where they are and can't remember what they're called and have to describe it to you.......UGH

My primary care doc is a petite Japanese lady with NOTHING but very small hands. :1rotfl: She knows I was in the service and she is also Mrs. K's PCP so her bedside manner might not be as sensitive with me as she might be with other patients.. lol

I have no idea where you're going here, but I have to get to bed now and you left me with NOTHING but weird thoughts in my head. Thanks for NOTHING.....lol

Nucky 07-30-2018 09:36 PM

I told my youngest son I would buy the condoms for him the first time but he had to observe me complete the mission and pay. Being a optimist he NOTHING but asked for a box of 12. I just complied with his request and turned to him and said that’s $11.95 plus tack’s. He said tacks, no way I don’t want them I want the ones that slide on. Kids, NOTHING but a chip off the old block. Now it’s time to say good night!

Yeah, well I never said I was normal either. NOTHING like waking up from a heart pounding nightmare! I was reading some old posts by W right before i went to bed but its more fun blaming it on you since he's not around.

Abby10 07-31-2018 04:41 AM

Good morning, everyone........:mornincoffee:

Even though I was awoken one more time in the middle of the night by another very weird dream, apparently I did get some sleep because my alarm actually went off before I woke up. Usually my biological alarm wakes me up first so I must have been sleeping pretty soundly the last 2 hours or so. That should be enough to get me through the day. I think re-reading old W posts may not be a good idea before going to bed. That dude can get into your head. Plus he always exuded so much energy and zaniness - probably not good to use as bedtime stories - lol. Sure do miss him though. Hope if Nucky ever sees him he'll let him know we still think about him.

Anyway, quote for the day and then I better run -

"If NOTHING changes, NOTHING changes."

Have NOTHING but a great day everyone!

Oh, and today is Tuesday, July 31st......guess I should get back into the swing of things around here even though I'd rather be in TV not caring what day it is at all.

fw102807 07-31-2018 06:09 AM

So the blood pressure medication I have been taking has been recalled since apparently it causes cancer because it's made where? China! What do they replace it with? Something that comes from India! Why can't my drugs come from the US so I can have some measure of confidence that they are not going to kill me. NOTHING but very upset!

I got it. I could go on about how I feel about all of this but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I'm at work - rant rave to say the least.

The only thing you can really do is insist on brand name if it is still available. For valsartan, it is. May have to take out a loan though. NOTHING but expensive.

Nucky 07-31-2018 09:52 AM

FW, that is NOTHING but a shame. I’m going to check the name of the stuff my wifey takes. I think it is NOTHING but me that gives her high blood pressure! HaHa!

Our NOTHING chicks are doing public service messages. Good Jobski!
