I have an Ideer. Have you NOTHING but ever seen the old movie DIRTY HARRY. The main thing to say is Go Ahead Make My Day or Walk Softly And Carry A Big Stick. Being prepared is the most important thing. I would have a bag of goodies ready to hand over to some clown who was looking for something specific.

It is NOTHING but a sure fire cure for all of your problems. No job worries, no weather worries and no deer worries. Your biggest problem will be deciding what to have for dinner.

Well we do get tornadoes, hurricanes but of very limited power, some "cold" weather, alligators, bobcats, bears, boars, bores, fox, deer, opossum, feral dogs, feral cats, coyotes, power outages, a lot of people trying to scam seniors, snakes of the animal and human kind, cougars of the human kind, wolves of the human kind, heavy rain, bad drivers, and other things that are a lot more than NOTHING.

I can tell your not from The Chamber Of Commerce trying to close a Giant Deal.

When you’re from here one of the things that I don’t recall discussing is the quality of the air. Other than when someone is burning I find it to be another attraction on top of all the other great stuff about living here. The Weather is a legit concern and everything you listed is true but most don’t come into play at all. I wouldn’t trade living here for all the Tea In Lady Lake!

The drivers here are NOTHING but marginal but I’ll take them over the ones we encountered on our trip to The Frozen Tundra.

Well they do tend to eat one another. The animals that is and not for NOTHING.

And my brother and sister-in-law are very relaxed here after having driven around the DC beltway for years.

I've only been scared twice in my life in a cab. Once was in Chicago doing 60mph down Michigan Ave. and the other was in a cab from Newark airport into Brooklyn. There were two lanes in our direction but we were three wide with NOTHING but two tires on the sidewalk.

Well, I'll be damned, that was you? Sorry for the rough ride but time is money and we had to roll to feed the NOTHING but hungry childrens waiting at the Casa. Any chance you were going to the Naval Yard on Atlantic Ave. in Crooklyn? I know it well and you were well within your rights to be askaredafied! I didn't scare you too bad cause you tipped very well.

I took three years off in the middle of my work life because of stress and drove a Taxi and met some of the nicest people, it was great and they appreciated a nice peaceful non-eventful ride. I picked up a few characters but learned if I let them in the car then I was letting the Devil in the house. I could be looking at them and them looking at me and I'd tell the dispatcher they weren't there. I wasn't going to get mugged to make a couple of bucks.

When I went back to the construction business I was fresh and ready to rip and loved my work with all my heart. I really do miss it but whatayagonnado? NOTHING but play the hand your dealt, gratefully!:blahblahblah:

It couldn't have been you. The person that was driving us in no way could have put together the post you just made. At least not in English. Not saying what you post is technically English though.. :1rotfl:
We were heading to a hotel for NOTHING but a cruise the next morning leaving out of Red Hook..

The scariest ride we ever had was in Egypt when we went to see the pyramids. There are no traffic laws in Egypt. The driver actually hit a pedestrian and kept on going. He said the guy was alright and waved him on. NOTHING but the craziest ride we ever had.

After a month's stay in Cairo, I never thought I would say how nice to come home to the order and tranquility of Midtown New York City traffic during rush hour!

In Egypt, traffic rules, if there are any, are not obeyed, 2 lanes will have 3 cars abreast without warning, instead of traffic signals, they all use their horns, if a car doesn't fit within a parking spot, they will simply get out of the car enlist help and move the parked car to make room. it was nothing like anything else I've ever experienced!

BK001 01-18-2019 08:12 AM

On the other hand, in NY there were many Egyptian taxi drivers and I would guess they rank among nothing but the highest skilled drivers, K's experience notwithstanding.

It must be a real shock to them to come to NYC and actually have to stop at a red light. I do remember having 3 cars abreast in a 2 lane road and the intersections were like playing chicken. It was just NOTHING like I had ever seen before either.

Really liked the 224 in the picture in The Villages Daily Sun on the front page of the 1/18/2019 Sports section about the VHS girl's basketball team and their loss 46-37. Would have been better if they had won against Umatilla. And not for NOTHING.

Taltarzac725 01-18-2019 08:42 AM

Talked to a female friend who is from Philadelphia about the "big mahoff" and she said that her father and his friends would use this expression a lot. She thought it came from the German community and not for NOTHING.

I had wanted to see the pyramids but now maybe not so much and not for NOTHING. I have a married female friend whom I met in 2006 who is a world traveler and she did not seem the least impressed with Egypt.

One of professors at the U of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management was from Egypt. Taught cataloging where you have to play very close attention to every little detail of a book or some other item you are cataloging.

It is fixed. My Egyptian U of Denver cataloging professor would be rather peeved at me for forgetting all these little details. NOTHING but an obsessive compulsive disorder.

Here is a catalog record of Gone with the Wind's Margaret Mitchell and photos of Memorials to her from the Library of Congress--
Gone with the wind (Margaret Mitchell)

One of my fellow U of Denver GSLIM grads works there the last I looked. She was taught by the Egyptian. NOTHING but cool.

The Philippines were bad but I don't think they were Egypt bad. They had NOTHING but one lane in each direction with a "Suicide" lane in the middle. If you wanted to pass you just hit your horn and hopped into the middle lane and played chicken with the people passing in the opposite direction.. lol

Let's see if I can get in under the wire here -

Sorry guys, woke up at 5am with a nasty headache. Took me a couple of hours to get rid of it, then I NOTHING but went back to bed so here I am getting back up at K -time.

It's Friday, January 18th, and now that I'm feeling better I'm on a mission today........

You sound like NOTHING but the boss even when you're not in the office. Oh, that's right, you're the boss here too - lol

So today's mission - I'm reclaiming my office space. It's a long story but let's just say someone may end up not too happy when he gets home from work today.

I should add the "he" is not my husband. Someone else is dragging his feet moving out of here.........I won't mention any names or affiliations - lol

I NOTHING but noticed that too. I think people may figure now's the time to put stuff up for sale with all the snowbirds there. We've been contacting furniture stores down there this past week to make some inquiries and they're telling us they've been swamped with customers.

Nucky 01-18-2019 12:33 PM

I remember a pyramid and it NOTHING but happened on the first day I met Mrs. Nucky 25 years ago. Now a pup tent is good for me. Out to the Doctor. Later Gators. The Dr & the tent have NOTHING to do with one another! Just trying to get into the swing of things.
