We all probably have some rotten branches in our family trees and not for NOTHING. Lots of things shape character but IMHO it is life experiences and individual choices and not DNA, color of skin, birth place nor nationality. Some of us have a lot more choices available to us than others though.
My Stimson branch of the family tree has been here since 1670 or before. They settled in Ipswich, MA. My great uncle, Roberto, claimed we were related to Henry L. Stimson but then again he often told tall stories. Henry L. Stimson was the Secretary of War during WWII. About Henry L. Stimson | Stimson Center My great grandmother's maiden name was Stimson. The mother of my some prevarications telling great Uncle Roberto. Incidentally, Roberto had a wife in Mexico or somewhere down there and a son. Maybe it was Costa Rica. Quote:

Hey Tal, do you think we did NOTHING to scare the troops away? Hope I didn't say Nuttin dummm as Jethro Bodine would! Let's keep it alive till everyone comes on back.
Just came from visiting a friend in Mc Clure! Wow....Beautiful Maximus! Only one little negative. Water the Street while the daytime earth moving is going on. Other than that just Beautiful. I'm happy for everyone down yonder, great decision! |
I felt I was doing great throughout the weekend. Walking every hour on the hour with the help of my Cadillac of Walkers. Until yesterday that is. Physical Therapist came and put me through a whole bunch of exercises. No problem or so I thought. Woke up this morning with nothing but intense muscle pain. I think I did too much yesterday and I blame it on the PT. She said with knee replacement the patient is told they have to work through the pain but not so with the hip. So I am taking it easy today.
I know things will continue to improve and soon I'll be as good as new. (Fingers crossed). |
We're home. NOTHING but beat.. I think we'll need a vacation to recover from our vacation.
Where's fw and Abby. Was there a massive exodus while I was gone? |
Quote:
Both Abby and FW are mia. As Nucky has conjectured, maybe they decided to take a trip down under as well. LOL But seriously, no idea where they are. |
It's been like a Ghost Town here in Nothingville. So glad that you are back K-man. Now if we can just locate the rest of the crew we'll be all set.

I do know a skinny blonde nurse but she sometimes had trouble buying enough food for herself but was always looking out for her daughter. She still is I guess. She was not nursing for a while but went back to it and am not sure what she is doing now. She did want to teach. Do wish her well though whether she is nursing , teaching, or just tending house and/or reading Talk of the Villages. The other blonde nurse also survives by in addition to nursing she cleans houses here around the Villages. She used to be a combat nurse in Iraq. And worked at the psychiatric hospital in Leesburg, FL. She is very very busy. I do run into her from time-to-time and it is often a very interesting interchange. |
