And yeah, we thought acreage was a great idea and if it wasn't for the upkeep we would remain NOTHING but happy. It's nice to be outside and not have to go inside if you need to take a leak.. :1rotfl:

Definitely more information than I needed to know but thanks for sharing. :ohdear: I swear, you guys need to remember there are women hanging around NOTHING too....lol. Lucky for you I grew up with 2 brothers and have had NOTHING but males in this household too. My husband's excuse would be, "but honey I was all dirty from doing yard work and I didn't want to mess up the house by coming in". Again, :ohdear:

Speaking of men, my husband has a bad cold which hopefully isn't going into pneumonia. He's been sick all week. I thought the expression was NOTHING but "starve a cold, feed a fever". Apparently, not! I feel like I have an infant in the house. Feed him, he sleeps, I try to take a nap myself, then he gets up, hungry again. So I make something else for him, he goes back to sleep, I run out to the market for more food and get back JUST in time for him to wake up again, now I'm prepping dinner........talk about being exhausted. I should have just gone into work today. At least I'd be getting paid!

All complaining aside, I don't mind so much. After all, he's worth it and I know he really appreciates it. I just wish he'd get better soon before I :faint:

NOTHING but catching up or tying BK with the Humor. I feel sorry for your Hubby, please God don't let it turn into Ammonia (OnPorpoise)That would be terrible! I know it's way tougher being the caretaker than the patient. I would suggest a Nurse's uniform but I don't wanna put wind in anybody's sails! Whoopdy Do! :1rotfl: Glad you checked in!

I had a great idea. Why don't we tell FW how much we really NOTHING but miss her? Hope you are cool FW!

This has happened kind of often and luckily there have often been kind people to help him out after they did. He feel where he had radiation treatment for his prostate and all kinds of nurses bandaged him up but he fell on his hand and messed it up.

NOTHING but lucky when it happens at home even though I went through all the rags when he hit his head in the bathroom and we called an ambulance-- i.e. 911. I was supposed to collect the dog before they came but they showed up at the front door before I even got my shoes on. Less than two minutes and there were here or it seemed that way. Probably a bit more than two.

It's NOTHING but an Easter miracle here. We're gearing up to go take a walk. Hubby woke up feeling much better this morning and I'm doing better with the pain too. Of course, we both may be taking a 3 hour nap when we get back and I might be hobbling home but let's hope not.......

Are you kidding? I was NOTHING but lucky to have kept him down and resting for almost a week. If not for his total lack of energy and sleeping so much, he would have been telling me he needed to go to the gym to "sweat it out". :ohdear: Seriously, I could write a book for the excuses he has to spend so much time at the gym. Yeah, I know he's not normal - lol. I learned a long time ago it was an argument I wasn't going to win......or wanted to. It is definitely a "mind altering substance" for him - much rather have a happy husband at home less, than a cranky one at home more. Thirty-six years and going strong as we celebrate our anniversary next week, so I guess we've been doing something right.

Abby10 04-21-2019 04:44 PM

Oh about our walk though -

Instead of walking our neighborhood which is what we usually do, we decided to go over and walk the plush track at our local high school so as not to deal with inclines and be able to walk on a softer surface. Well, we get over there and as we're about to walk onto the track my husband stops in his tracks and is intently looking at something. In my impatience, mainly because I'm worried about making it to my next bathroom break - it's great being a woman this age - I'm wondering what the heck is he doing and why aren't we moving?!? He turns to me and says "we're not going to walk here" and grabs my arm to lead me away.

Well, first let me tell you that my husband is far from an alarmist. In fact, I was pretty proud of him that he was even that observant. But what he saw was no one on the track except what appeared to be a somewhat tall slender male walking around with at least one or two black coats on, one being a hoodie which he had pulled up over his head. That raised his first suspicion being that it was such a beautiful day here. But more importantly, he was holding his right arm very straight and was carrying something in his hand that my husband was concerned could be a weapon. So we walked away and headed in the opposite direction where we came upon a church with, lo and behold, a police officer sitting there in his vehicle. My husband told him what he saw and said it could be NOTHING but felt he should at least report it. The police officer was very appreciative because apparently they had had an incident at that church just a few weeks back with a disruptive young man that they had to calm down and escort away from the church. I don't know what happened from there, as we left and went somewhere else, but it sure was NOTHING but strange.......

See what K-Man & I have been saying for a long time. Exercise, NOTHING but trouble. My first thought was I thought they were moving to The Villages, not New Jersey! It's terrible that a peaceful walk turns into NOTHING but an event.

Aside from that we had NOTHING but a great walk. Ended up going to 3 different places and walking them all. Came home, took a nap, then had dinner and a movie right here at home. It was a perfect day, just the 2 of us. When my husband asked yesterday who was coming for dinner, I said no one, just him and I. His response was that was just how he liked it. So all is well here. Hope all of you also had a nice holiday.

Good to hear that you had a good Easter Sunday except for whatever was going on with the man in the black coats. He seemed to be acting very suspiciously out in the open. Sneaky criminals try to blend in I would think not stand out.

NOTHING but good night to the regular gang.

You make a good point, Tal. I guess if the person is mentally disturbed however, one never knows. I was just grateful my husband was so alert. Usually I am, but I guess being with him and being it was broad daylight and expecting NOTHING like that, my guard was down. What a world we live in. :ohdear: I grew up in a small town where the thought of walking the streets at night was not even considered a scary thing to do. The thought of locking doors in your house or your car was, well, not even a thought. So much has changed.....

Anyway, good morning to the regular gang, as Tal puts it. :)

The Villages seems quite safe for the most part and not for NOTHING. And there are a lot of retired law enforcement around with concealed carry permits whom I hope that they would know what they are doing even though I have met some people here in the Villages whom I would not want anywhere near a loaded weapon.

One shot her vacuum cleaner when it adjusted itself in her closet. I guess she had not put it away probably.

Okay, this is gonna cost ya, but if you wanna buy a steak that won't disappoint try Fresh Market next time. It is indeed a bit pricey, but I usually wait to hit them up on a sale. There are certain things that I'm particular about and that is one of them. If I'm going to indulge in a steak it better be good which is why when I beat K in the bet I hope he'll be taking me to Mark's. Don't worry, K, the prices aren't listed because it's hard to believe they're so cheap. :evil6:

You asked a few days ago about ETA for me and K - looks like next year for me. I was considering hanging up the white coat this year but we ended up helping out a sibling in need instead. I'd like to recoup what we put out as much as possible before our move. If we end up renting our place for another year, that will put us at around summertime of next year. At that point, it will depend on the status of our sewers as to whether we will be looking at a full-time move or more likely a 4-6 months in TV and the rest of the year up here. We may actually do that for at least a year or 2 regardless. NOTHING is set in stone, but that's the plan at this time. In the meantime, we'll be down for visits now and then. In fact, we're due for one but may not make it down until sometime in the fall at this point.

In fact, we're due for one but may not make it down until sometime in the fall at this point.

If I lose the bet you'll most likely be getting a steak from Costco cooked by me.. Maybe I'll make NOTHING but a pot of chili instead.. lol

Oh No you Dunt! We will have Nothing but Steak ala Nucky When you both arrive or whenever except this time wherever I buy it, I am a very good Steak Purchaser, minus this one NOTHING occasion. I should have Noticed The Whip Mark's and the Number 8 On The Steak. It also said shipped from the Meadowlands Racetrack. Should have been a clue. Never hurry while shopping especially in a new store. I'm not saying anything bad about them because you could catch a dud steak at any store. I'll still use Aldis again. It sure was different though. We came home with a heap of stuff on the cheap!

Fresh Market is the best and I wait in the car when we go there. It's just best for Peace On Earth! Yes Dear! Your correct Dear Paying Double The Price is Not A Problem Dear! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: :blahblahblah:

Recognizing that most of y'all have probably sorely missed me (:1rotfl:) and the brunt of keeping the thread lively has fallen on poor Talt's broad shoulders and prodigious posting...I''m NOTHING but checking in to say Hi.

It's another beautiful spring day in The Villages and in being able to sit up in bed and take solids...how could things get any better? :coolsmiley:

Hope all of y'all are enjoying life...as much as I am.
:ho:
