I define it by taking 20 minutes where the eyes are closed, the TV is on and you can still hear it...but you're not quite aware of exactly what's playing

When we departed N.J. there was a clear understanding that the responsibility would transfer to my sister. There is no financial reason for her to not comply with her commitment, she's in good shape.

Some things can't be overlooked and this is one of those things. She visited us here in The Villages several months back and recommitted to taking care of her responsibility. It hasn't happened so I'll take care of it and be quiet about it, no stirring the pot and hurting the memory of our Mom & Dad any further than it already has been. NOTHING but a shame. Things just happen.

Our FREIND FW put me onto a book called When Bad Things Happen To Good People and it covers stuff like this. It's life. Period and you can continue to live in turmoil or simply cut ties. I pick NOTHING but Door #2. It hurts but its gotta be. :)

Yes I can see how something like this nothing but hurts.

LOL - That's how I sleep every night -- with the TV on. I can't sleep without it and DH can't sleep with it. Solution? Separate bedrooms! It works for us. Snap ... snap I like that definition.

They have this song in the movie The Mule. I do pay very careful attention to the details in many movies and TV shows as well as some ads.

J-O-H-N-N-Y C-A-S-H - I've Been Everywhere - With Lyrics - YouTube

Been taking a little break from watching NOTHING but The Mule and Johnny Cash's character has sure been a lot more places than I have. I did get to a lot of these though. :coolsmiley:

As Clint's envelopes started getting bigger you could see people NOTHING but thinking about moving to Conservation Trail after making a run or two or three. That's the problemo. If you are any good at what you are doing the big boys & girls in the operation won't let you leave. Once You're in They Won't Let You Out! Sounds like a line from another movie?? Better to live a simple life than be a slave to that garbage.

Greed gets everyone every time! Carry On! :clap2:

We seem to have the numbers on NOTHING for almost every US state now via A4 of The Villages Daily Sun.

Today's Villages households with hometowns from those states show:

Indiana-- 1,311.

Louisiana-- 95.

New Mexico-- 60.

North Dakota-- 64.

Oklahoma-- 81.

West Virginia-- 282.

Have not been to WV that I know of anyone but might have been through the little strip at the top on the way to Gettysburg from Chicagoland. That would have been more than 50 years ago.

It happens. Whatrugonna do? Things are made so much more NOTHING but difficult nowadays than back in the day. I've got Candy Hands but I've supervised repairs that you would bet the farm that the piece of equipment in question would never go back together because it was in so many pieces.

I got out of the business just as that additive was being added to the Diesel Fuel. The Primary reason we haven't moved yet is I know exactly where I wanna move to but there are too many Trucks around and I can't have that. Have to get back to The Mule soon.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be my nephew who wanted $2000 for something or other but the voice sounded NOTHING like the relative. My father had picked it up but wanted to see where it went. My mother and I were both telling my father that the voice sounding NOTHING like my nephew.

Stupid scammers. I just let the answering machine get stuff and call back if I believe them or care to call them back.

My life helper after my Dad passed was Staton Simpson from Jamaica, he helped shape my work ethic and I'll alway's be in his debt. He had 3 jobs plus was an Amway distributor. NOTHING but a Hustler.

My sister-in-law is Jamaican along with her large family. Most of them live here in FL. She speaks with that accent when she gets mad. Her history includes service as a SEALs' support staff person among many other things.

She has lived in a lot of places-- NYC, a Navy base in Southern VA, DC, maybe Miami, etc.

Loved The Mule and not for NOTHING. That was Eastwood's daughter playing the daughter of the character he played. He might also have put some of his music in it. LOVED the details. I hope that the NOTHINGs noticed them. They may or may not mean anything.

Hey guys, just wanted to stop by to say "hi". Been NOTHING but busy preparing for our cousins who are coming up from TV for a visit. Really looking forward to seeing them. Of course, I'm wearing myself out preparing for the visit like Mrs Scrubbing Bubbles herself, so I'm hurtin' tonight and my bed is calling me extra early.

Hope BK Hipster is continuing to do better and has the PT and pain under better control. Speaking of PT, I've got a good story for ya. Hubby tried to make an appt today to start PT for an ongoing problem he's had for a year now. After making the appt, he asked to speak to the therapist that he would be seeing. When he told the therapist what he had been doing to cut down on the pain and that I had been on him to continue doing it consistently instead of letting up each time it felt better, the therapist told him to cancel the appt and listen to your wife - lol. Now if I could only learn to listen to my own advice......:ohdear:

Have a good night, my NOTHING buddies. I'll try to check in again soon. Miss you all!

I now have statistics for all the states in the US for Villages households which have hometowns in them but still need to locate the one for Florida. It seemed to come up on NOTHING but will have to find it.

Montana slides with 27 Villages households.
Arizona claims 106 Villages households.

These are NOTHING but in The Villages Daily Sun front section usually on A4. They have six states on just about every day.

My Dad guesses the state's numbers each day and has heard them read so many times by my Mom that he is often quite close.

Minnesota, Pennyslvania and Ohio have large numbers for Villages households as does New Jersey. Nevada is quite low if memory serves. Maryland quite high.

Looking for my first post on the Villages' households which I found and not for NOTHING. This is from around February 21, 2019. Have been looking for the number for Florida. Villagers who claim their hometowns are in FL.

I have the statistics for all the other states now!!!!

I will be double-checking these numbers and not for NOTHING as well as looking for the numbers for Florida.

We moved here from Palm Harbor, FL in June of 2005 and had moved from Rohnert Park, CA to Palm Harbor, FL in May or June of 1996. Almost 23 years in Florida.

Two of my favorite blonde nurses are native to FL. One from Homestead and the other from Daytona Beach.

I kind of wonder if they would get along at all. To my knowledge they have never met.

Not 224 nor 613 but these are very much on my mind of late and not for NOTHING with my 30th U of MN Law Class of 1989 Re-Union coming up in a few weeks in Minneapolis and all the stuff going on in Minneapolis right now. Kind of fitting that it is a spill over of March Madness.

Someone and I am not sure who has been really helping me out of late. I did have supporters in the Twin Cities back in the 1980s as well as 1990s and after that.

I am thinking a lot of those 250 or so people I knew from the U of MN Law Class of 1989. There were 50 of them I had every class with in the First Year of Law School. I was Group A. And there were Groups A-E. Each with about 50 people in them. Some First Year classes were just 50 others 100.

My second year Law School roommate was also in the Class of 1989 and was in A. A U of NC graduate. Very bright and a nice guy.

My third year roommate was a MD from the U of Yonsei in South Korea who had also been an army doctor in South Korea. He was getting a 2nd Ph.D. at the U of MN.

I'd rather be making a parts run than scrubbing floors. Although unlike you, once I got those parts I'd have no idea what to do with them since they would mean NOTHING to me - lol.

And don't go hollering at me about scrubbing floors - hubby is trying to sleep off a bad sinus headache and I don't want anything to wake him or he'll be NOTHING but hollering at me too! I know, I'm bad, but I'll worry about myself once I get past the company coming and going........I promise.

And one of these days I'll get a chance to catch up on the posting here. There's a few I'd like to take the time to respond to, but one that cannot be let go is BK's post about her uncle. So sorry to hear of his passing. Some people, whether relatives or not, are "especially special" in our lives. So glad he is no longer suffering and that you will be able to be a support system for your aunt. He would be so very pleased about that, I'm sure. My deepest condolences.

Looked at a Villages Phone Book and they had 15 pages of households that have hometowns in FL. Each page looked like 252 entries. And there were hold overs of 88 and 47 additional households on other pages.

So I get 3,915 as the number of households for FL according to the phone book I looked at and my count.

NOTHING but a little work.
