Whenever we went to NYC the ToysRUs store in Times Square along with the M&M Store were among our favorite places. We are NOTHING but little kids in old people bodies. Before my grandson was born I wanted to borrow somebody's kid to ride the ferris wheel.

What was the name of the toy store that I would always buy a cup or a trinket because it was so expensive but really something to behold with the toys and decorations? It closed down in NOTHING but the past year. The name is on the tip of my tongue but, you know. I suffer from C.R.S.

Another nice memory by Mrs. FW. That Toy Store was the only place I felt comfortable in the city. Some of the food joints were safe feeling too.

The thing that really really messed me up was The Pine Tar Game at Yankee Stadium. I decided after that tho limit the N.Y. trips. Our kids love it over there, grandkids love it too. George Brett from the Kansas City Royals got the Stadium rocking and I was glad to make it home alive. I'm almost certain they stopped selling beer after the 7th inning after that and never sold Budweiser in the long neck bottles so people couldn't use them as weapons. Sorry to get off of Toys R Us buy I wander all the time. :ohdear:

FAO Schwartz. They may also be returning. They had the life size piano that you jumped on the keys to play. It is quite doubtful that we will ever be back up there now that what is left of my family is moved to other parts of the country. Rockefeller Plaza and the Rockettes were NOTHING but the best Christmas memories ever.

Theres plenty O' NOTHING going on but you had to live in that vicinity to relate. FAO Mr. Schwartz was Magical & Expensive and thankfully Mrs. FW has a better memory than me. Thank's FW.

I can't relate to where you live. When you mentioned going to an island the other day I related it to Staten Island, Long Island and Rikers Island.

When I think about where I think you are I wonder if you can see Russia from your garage or beautiful lawn. :clap2:

I've been to NY three times. Always need to find NOTHING but the best deli for a pastrami sandwich. That's one thing severely lacking here is a good deli.
