Not trying to be confrontational, but why is post count so important to you? I think it means NOTHING to most of us..

If you subtracted my Nothing and Three Word Sentence posts I believe that would leave me with a total of 37 posts. Without the friends I was fortunate enough to make on Three Word I don't know if we would have been lucky enough to make it to The Villages. :angel:

That's pretty cool, Nucky, and exactly what I was trying to point out on the other thread. There is something different about these 2 threads - it allows one to begin to feel they know the other posters on a more personal level even if we haven't met one another. Also, not being a topic thread, discussion is open to anything - even NOTHING!

Mrs. Cfrance, I would think that both Threads would survive the same thing that Cockroaches may survive. You know the big :boom:. I don't even want to type the word. That post was a setup and that poster was just a shill for someone else. That post is a TRUE, TRUE Fugazi. :wave:

I would still have a very large number of posts but I have been on here since 2007. July of that year.

Miss a lot of the friends I made here over that time period who are either now just on Facebook, passed, moved, or whatever.

The NOTHING thread is a carry over from you know where. And it had a rather rotten intent behind it when made over there.

I like a lot of views of my posts as these threads can be put on Facebook where some of my friends made here on TOTV as well as others can see these threads on Facebook.

I'm sorry you still feel that way. I honestly don't believe the intent was rotten as you presume, but merely to prove a point regarding the viewership of threads. At least that's how I saw it. Nevertheless, I hope you feel welcome here and will continue to post.

It is great to see some of the threads in Just for Fun that have taken off. I hope tomwed moves forward with his suggestion. That could be very entertaining. I enjoy the talent and wit of many of the TOTV posters.

Nothing or Nobody should speak down to another. Anybody who gets misspoken to and goes back to the well deserves to be blasted. Everyone who is active on here has Angel's and Demon's. Stop the tears if your Demon keeps biting you. We are all adult's time to saddle up and don't feed into it.

I have about 15 people on my Ignore List and do try hard now to not even bother looking at anything they post. It is worth NOTHING in the long run and just creates stomach acid in the short run.

I am a very very timid person. Very self centered and so Cheap you can hear me squeak. Never have been much fun. Nothing but a dud and a couch tater. I think I'm starting to come out of my shell a little. The best thing that has happened is I am no longer a Litterbug. When I saw how clean this joint is I swore it off. The second was to clean up the language. I was a Trucking Dispatcher and not a Florist so that was an issue. I am much improved but my old skill can be called up at a seconds notice. I am so much more tolerant now than before. It's all because of The Villages. Bless this Beautiful Place. In the pool at 9.30 PM...Unbelievable. Sage Fright. The only reason I'm Sage is because of Two Years of Lobster Posting. Its tough typing with Claws.

There is a difference to me of showing and telling your point of view without putting the other person on cross examination and belittling them to make yourself feel good for a minute when all you do is come off looking like a Porcupine to others. Nobody wants to be around you. What we got here is a total lack of respect for each other. (Variation of Jackie Gleason). Nothing doing. Come on June 6th. No Justice No Peaking!

Love it! So true though. Nucky is often a bright light in an otherwise dark day. His humor, genuineness, and sincerity are evident in his posts. The past is the past for all of us. What matters is who you are today and the choices you make in light of that. Sometimes we make mistakes, can't help it us humans, but the people I admire the most are those who have the guts to admit it when they do and then move on. Carrying the burden does NOTHING but bring a person down.

People like Nucky are an inspiration to me to always try to do my best knowing that sometimes I will fail, but when I do that's okay too - use it to learn and move on. Just wish I had the funny gene that he has.......:jester:

So here's the thing - when people do what you speak of and feel no remorse that is such a sad thing. A normal person may do that in a devilish moment and have a momentary high, but will almost immediately realize their error (that pit in the stomach moment) and will feel remorseful knowing they hurt someone else. Often, they will be quick to want to rectify their error. But unfortunately, some people can't even see who they really are. I have often referred to it as a lack of ability to look in the mirror and see their own reflection. And ironically, they will often think they are exactly who they profess to be against. Again, just can not see themselves - probably some kind of psychological something or other.

I say it's a sad thing because it is such a waste to live your life that way. You, Nucky, like to make people laugh. I like to make people smile. Both, IMHO, are better ways to spend one's time.

Gracie, dear, NOTHING makes me happier than calling you Friend. However, I am deathly allergic to FB and swore it off long ago—NOTHING but a private group of my siblings. I can take NOTHING more. It overwhelms.

NOTHING but the same here.. I have never been on FB, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram or any of the other social media sites. I'm too afraid of people from my past finding me.. :shocked:

I understand what you guys are talking about. My husband and I never had a FB page until a friend of ours stopped by and insisted we had to have one. I looked at it more often when we first had it. In time, I found out how much it made me dislike some people by going there. So I rarely go on now (just an occasional peek) and I found out I still like those people. Not sure why, but I guess I just prefer not to know that much detailed information about some people or if interacting face-to-face is just that much different.

Personally, I prefer NOTHING. NOTHING expected, NOTHING judged, NOTHING but fun and positive interactions. We may not all be the same, or like the same things, but we can like each other despite our differences and even sometimes because of them. I have grown fond of each and every member of NOTHINGVILLE and all for very different reasons. But maybe because I enjoy living life looking for the good in others and letting the rest go by the wayside. Keeps me peaceful and hopefully sane (that might me questionable though).

Btw, all are welcome to join in and become part of the community. Not exclusive, the more the merrier!

Having been hospitalized (Spinal Issues) on most Memorial Days and with my past work schedule in the old days I never had a chance to real really concentrate on The True Meaning of This Beautiful Day. Wow it really is something else. I'm not sure of the name of the show last night but it looked like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with narration from various actors with scenes from all the conflicts we have been in. Our Family including our youngest son are stateside for the moment. The pressure that people who have a service member in action overseas now is incredible. I had to keep it together when he was in a few bad places over there. We are fortunate. My heart today is with the children and families who have experienced the worst. I'm taking the rest of the day off. See you NothingBurgers tomorrow.
