I have a high bed too. (Hate it). I have a step but between the height of the bed and my bad hip, I have to try to hoist my butt as far back as possible. (Doesn't always work) . But I am still laughing at the image of you doing the same and landing on Mr. Abby. Very funny picture in my head.

Ouch, that can't be fun with a bum hip. When we first got this mattress and box spring years ago we didn't realize how high it was until they delivered it and set it up. One of the delivery guys looked at our faces and said, "Yep, that's the look I always get when I deliver one of these - high, isn't it?" We were thinking of getting an even higher bed for our TV place which would require steps, mainly because it has an amazing amount of storage, but I've pretty much ruled it out. It's bad enough having such a high bed to get into when you get older considering the possibilty of mobility problems coming into play, but I could NOTHING but picture myself falling out of it someday and cracking my head open. Getting older makes you think of weird stuff like that I guess........or maybe it's just me - lol

I'm not going to bother with a bed when we get there. As warm as you guys keep telling me it is I'm going to get NOTHING but an air mattress and just float in the pool.. lol

There is air conditioning down there you know - lol - and believe me, it's cheap at least compared to up here. I was just crunching some numbers earlier today and discovered that when I added up what we're paying for just electric and water here (we have same heating system as our Florida place so both houses are all electric) it comes to more than electric, water, trash, sewer, AND amenity fee down there! We need to NOTHING but get out of here........

Do you use the free app or NOTHING but the $6.99 one?

I have to give the People behind the curtain at Villages GPS credit. They really did the honorable thing and hung in there until they produced a product worth $6.99 that works. It did take a while but technical things like that are not a piece of cake.

When I changed from Android to an iPhone I had to pay again and I did question it to them via email and they said that the charge seemed appropriate to them, who knows. It really gets the stamp of approval so far from me. I have used it for Car & Cart directions instead of Waze & Google Maps in the car and think it's now great. It is full of great information about my area so I'm gonna buy it for each of my NOTHING buddies when you guy's get here.

What a dopey so & so for forgetting my NOTHING yesterday. Let's not forget what FW said the other day, something to the effect of If It Can Be Fixed It's Not That Big Of A Deal. Words To Live By. :bigbow: Love the words of wisdom we catch on here sometimes in between the rounds of funnies.

I NOTHING but agree Abby with your diagnosis. Our last house up North had Oil Baseboard Heat and it was wonderful because the heat was evenly distributed throughout the house. The drawback was the Budget Plan for Oil was just shy of $400 a month.

The Electric was on a Budget of $350 a month. The Taxes were a Little under $1100 a month for less square footage than we have here and a property size of 60' x 100' or 110'. So $1850 for starters before the rest of the things to raise a family.

There was a report I saw lately that stated that NJ is one of the most popular places to leave. I really did love it there because its all I really knew for NOTHING but close to 60 years. Now that I have something to compare it to I pick here, hands down. :clap2:

Wow another late night NOTHING party I missed. We take our golf cart to the 3 existing squares as the are within a 30 to 40 min drive and we have the cushy seats. We do love SS and Brownwood but LSL was love at first sight and we knew that is what we wanted to be near. We still go there several times a week for the restaurants, shops, entertainment or sometimes just to walk around and see if the turtles are at the dock. Everyone thinks their own neighborhood is best but ours really is. :clap2:

Love the soft shell turtles. Saw about ten of them a few months ago when my older was visiting from DC. NOTHING but beautiful creatures.

I like Lake Sumter Landing the most of the 3 squares.

Check out "Shaw off the Wall" sometime on Facebook. Sandra Shaw posts some amusing weather reports for South Florida. NOTHING but entertaining. This was is also educational. Sandra Shaw - “Shaw Off the Wall”—soooo humid in SFL, so...

We have 242, 271 views as of 2/17/2019 Sunday 10:08 AM EST on NOTHING.

829 views yesterday up through 9:55 AM EST 2/17/2019. This is a 25 hour count.

One week until the 2-24-2019 Oscars. I expect Roma, Green Book, Black Panther and A Star is Born to win most of the big awards along with Spike Lee getting Best Director.

That is NOTHING but a very good idea.

There was a baby alligator swimming around with the soft shell turtles when we saw them a few months ago just east of the radio station in Lake Sumter Landing in the water. They were looking for food thrown usually by teenage girls from the boardwalk.

From your posts, sometimes I wonder if you're really there to check out the turtles or looking for young single women - :icon_wink:

Speaking of the squares, my husband's favorite has always been LSL. I love it too, but I'm not sure I can say I have a favorite because I tend to like variety and they are all very unique. Although we were very close to purchasing a CYV when the Edgewater Villas in LSL first opened up, we've never felt inclined to live close to any town square. I will say we were NOTHING but fools to have backed out on that purchase though. I think it was going for somewhere in the 330,000 range at the time. We heard that the day after it sold, someone put a note on the door to call as they were offering to buy it for 400,000. As if that wasn't enough to want to kick ourselves, several years later the place sold for close to 600,000. In retrospect, not our best real estate decision........:sigh:

These were teens who I would not be all that interested in as I have a lot of baggage which would require quite a sophisticated woman to deal with and not for NOTHING. My niece is 36 and she has a kid graduating from high school this spring. My niece has the same birthday as a woman I really like in this area. It is September 8 but my niece is 19 years younger than this woman. The 55 year old used to be married to a lawyer and is a nurse but she has disappeared for the time being. In the four years or so I have known her she does that from time-to-time. She needs her space I guess. I am kind of searching for someone new or someone I already know that might be able to handle all the stuff going on right now. It would be a lot to deal with for anyone.
