luperona9! Don't make yourself a stranger around here.

While we're on the subject of NOTHING, I might as well take the time to add that this thread originated in the political forum when the proverbial you-know-what was hitting the fan over there. It was an attempt by a small group of us, headed by the Kommander of course, to show that no matter our political persuasion or personal backgrounds (as we were all different as night and day), we could all exist under one roof without turmoil or slinging mud at one another. When the P-forum was shut down, the thread was Kommandeered over to this forum so as to keep it going. So now you know the rest of the story......
Anything but Thanks for NOTHING for the history.

History is important so newcomers don't forget the path and sacrifices made by the brave people that came before, perhaps a monument is in order to this wonderful small group of people that started the threat.

They may not be with us forever. Please tell me, who are these brave originators that were so forward thinking to create this Haven for all of us despite our political allegiance?

I assume you are a founder Abby. Thank you for your service.

This was NOTHING but Kenswing's doing but he had a lot of help. He is some kind of manager of a forest fire fighter group in the State of WA. I am a law librarian put out to pasture at age 32 or so.

According to Marie Kondo this is what you say before you get rid of things that do not bring you joy. NOTHING here that qualifies though.

See, nagging really does NOTHING but work - apparently the power company doesn't like it either. J/K of course, I signed off from here and fell fast asleep. What else is there to do?

NOTHING but a nice assist for our newbie before K slams him/her with a violation - lol

And now I'm out of here, folks. Try to save some fun for me for when I get home from work tonight.

More like kicked out because I did not like the attitudes towards survivors/victims of crimes in law schools and law libraries in the US but things have changed partly due to my really making a big stink and drawing everyone I could think of into the fight. I based my criticisms on my own experiences trying to help my fellow Earl Wooster HS (Reno, NV) students deal with murder investigation of some of fellow students connection with an English teacher whose daughter was murdered on 2-24 in 1976 near the University of Nevada, Reno. This was not "solved" until 1979. The murder was covered very heavily in the Northern Nevada press. 2-24 is also my birthday. And not for NOTHING.

I was in with probably the most powerful group of law librarians in 1991. I lost the kind of game of thrones. I wanted to put survivors/victims of crimes on the throne so to speak. No two victims/survivors of crimes I have talked to are the same though. But I really wanted to get them the most practical information available to make them the most educated and well connected they could be.

There have been a lot of changes since 1991 though.

I hope positive changes. It seems NOTHING less than a Noble act.

It's an interesting story. Is there more written about it?

But yet a meticulous librarian should never NEVER forget NOTHING. [emoji6]

Well that is NOTHING but true.

It is all over my Facebook page and I have mentioned it to the point of being quite annoying on Talk of the Villages for years. I use my birthday of 2-24 and my number is a 17 week study on stress on the unemployed I was in as subject #613 in late 1992-1993 at the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus. I showed the interviewer a lot of the documents and such. I was kind of trying to get a date with her even if I was driving in from the Santa Rosa- Petaluma, CA area to San Francisco.

Here is something from August 2015 on Talk of the Villages. 224 613 Project

And I have communicated about it with hundreds of thousands of people since 1991. I have tried to pull in people from multiple disciplines-- social workers, nurses, physicians, lawyers, Hollywood studio executives, writers, journalists, teachers, victim/witness assistance providers, etc.
