That word is NOTHING but a blast from the past - lol.

Well, looks like I'll be turning in even earlier than fw tonight. I'll try not to use any of W's past NOTHING musings for my bedtime reading. Then if I still have nightmares, I'll definitely know who is to blame. In the meantime, you guys keep talking yourself right into that NOTHING clinic while I go and try to have sweet dreams......

I'm sorry if I made someone unhappy. I just play with the words. A site about nothing sounds like it's about not taking anything seriously. Am I W? A musing is a deep thought. Amusing is something you write to cheer someone up. That's always my intention and I guess it's not fair for me to read one of two things and try to be amusing when in fact I'm inserting myself into a serious conversation. I'll be more careful.

You in no way made anyone unhappy. fw always turns in early and Abby is wiped out having to go back to work after vacation. You had to be here last night to get the "W musings" part of it. She woke up after having nightmares after reading some of W's old posts.

You're NOTHING but welcome here, Tom. I doubt you could say something mean spirited if you tried. We certainly would never take it that way..

That makes me feel pretty good. thank-you
I'm not W, that's someone else so his musings mean nothing to me. And I'll drop in from time to time and add something silly, never profound.

If that made you feel pretty good, I'll try to make you feel even better. So sorry I was off in slumber land last night and couldn't respond to your post immediately. Glad that my buddy, K, was around for clean up - he usually is, being from the upper left coast. While all of us go to bed he remains on patrol. Just one of his many jobs in life, even if this one is for NOTHING.

So, tomwed, NOTHING would please me more if you were a regular poster on this thread. You are always welcome here and the more you post the happier we would all be. K's last line in his post really says it all. I think you have quickly become a beloved poster for many reasons on TOTV, one being your play on words, but mostly for your kind spirit. I thought your posts were hilarious last night. Please keep them coming.....

I slept like a baby last night. I decided that I can't blame my nightmares on W because he was always so good to me and often had my back - a friend, indeed. I've decided they were because of another "w" word - work. That's what hubby says and he's always right. Please don't tell him I said that though - I will never hear the end of it. So K you are off the hook.......well at least for now. I guess I really owe you one for the clean up (ouch - that kind of hurts to say). Thank you for being a NOTHING buddy who always has my back. That's what we NOTHINGS are all about and, towwed, you are now officially one of us. Consider yourself protected by the NOTHING mafia - lol

Today is Wednesday.....dare I say, AUGUST 1st - holy smokes didn't summer just begin??

"Capishe".......except I have to go and pick up something else. See you all later at the NAA meeting. Had to put the extra A in there so everyone would know it's NOTHING. Someone thinking I need to go to the group without the extra A could really destroy my professional life. I may be wanting to quit work, but not that way!

I have nothing to back this up but it seems to me that there's no guilt like Catholic guilt. I'm working on it but when something goes wrong my first thought is always that somehow it's my fault. That's not a healthy way to live. But I think if I am funny it has to have something to do with the challenge of making someone laugh in a a perfectly quiet classroom while the Sister is writing something on the blackboard. The person that gets caught laughing also has Catholic guilt so they would never turn me in. I always felt bad about that----see----it never ends.

There is absolutely NOTHING like Catholic guilt. We had a big discussion a while back about the damage that the penguins inflicted on us growing up. I think that you are also a very sensitive soul and that makes us know you would never post anything mean.
