Default You Have To Pay A Premium For A Water View...But Wait...

...they ALL have water views!

I think the Arabs have taken it up a notch over The Villages.

The Dubai manmade islands are a work of art. In the link I'm posting, the 9th picture shows an aerial view and you can not only see the Palm Islands but also the World Islands...a replication of the world. Amazing!

"ragheads"? Sorry, but that's pretty offensive no matter how you cut it.

You do have to Dubai credit. They've figured out how to get rid of something they have way too much of (sand) and turn it into something that brings them a pretty good profit. It does make TV seem rather paltry in comparison.

Pretty amazing indeed! But I do understand that this construction has severely disrupted the natural flow of water currents in the area and consequently the wildlife. Not that this is anything new, no matter in what part of the world....

I am so amazed by Dubai. Tiger Woods' resort doesn't look too shabby either!

Has anyone been there recently? Would love to hear.

I understand Gary Morse is looking into this as a possibility for the new town center

I could go for a pool like that here in TV. But, then again, when would I get any housework done, see my hubs, or go dancing at the Square?

Maybe a Town Square under a bubble?...inclusive of pool, rec centers, houses, stores...what an idea!

Redwitch you are wrong. They have to import sand from other countries. The sand from the desert is not good for that, they needed sand from the bottom of the sea and they depleted all the sand they had aroung Dubai.

With all the money they get from oil we can see our hard dollars at work. Of course these places are for a very few rich people in their countries. They are no different than the rest of the world. IMHO
