Default We need a Good Humor man!

Someone asked what businesses we need in TV a while back but I can't find the thread. We know TV is almost perfect like it is but wouldn't it be fun to have a Good Humor man (or woman) that would come by occasionally so that we could choose from a variety of frozen treats. It could even offer frozen doggie treats for our furry friends! ( Sorry Gracie, I'm not sure cats really give a pfffft for frozen treats!). Of course it would need to be a golf cart truck and not a real truck! But it would need the requisite music so that we could hear it coming and maybe it would need to go a little slower! Anyway, hearing about the food trucks coming to Brownwood gave me the idea in my head and I wanted to share it with all of you!

Have no fear -- the powers that be won't allow it. No soliciting in neighborhoods, not even ice cream trucks.

Maybe someone in the Villages would like to buy this cart.

I agree with red. We've talked about doing this for several years, but no soliciting. Sad.

I have seen an ice cream truck in some of the non -Villages neighborhoods in Lady Lake. It even has some kind of song playing. http://www.allscream.com/vendors/FL

Sad to say the last thing we need is another good humor man. Based on the complaints registered by residents against other residents stupidity we have plenty of good humor men to keep us laughing for a very long time.

Not trying to be argumentative............but if there's no solicitation allowed (ie. no Good Humor trucks), how is it that the food truck vendors for the construction workers are permitted? Not saying the food trucks shouldn't be there for the workers...........I guess the line's gotta be drawn somewhere and it was drawn past them.

What about the food trucks that come around and sell food to the construction crews? Isn't that soliciting?

That is like saying the alcohol stands and gadget sellers in the Squares are soliciting. You go to them; they do not come to you. The food truck have probably been hired by the Villages developers to come onto the grounds like the gadger sellers and booze booths.
