I just entered a $20 Andrew Jackson bill into Where's George; a web-site http://www.wheresgeorge.com/ that allows users to enter bills and hope that someone else will enter their bill at some point in its travels. They try not to count instances when money travels between family members.
My $20 Series 2004 bill EL82247090E had not been entered into Where's George before this. I picked it up from the automatic teller from a bank on CR466 on June 22, 2014. Lot's of co-incidences here. Any other Where's George users on TOTV? There's also a Canadian version called--wait for it-- Where's Willy. http://www.whereswilly.com/ And a European counterpart. http://en.eurobilltracker.com/ Last edited by Taltarzac725; 06-23-2014 at 06:09 PM. |

Did you stamp it? If not, it is unlikely to be tracked.

No, I rarely stamp them. I still have the $20 bill though. I often feel a little uncomfortable marking bills so I sometimes just pencil in "Where's George" or pen it in with very small letters. |

I spent the $20 Series 2004 bill EL82247090E last night buying some Coke Zero at the Southern Trace Shopping Center Publix and got $10 back in change from cashier Rosemary.
We will have to see if it ever resurfaces. I did pen in "Where's George" in such a way that I hope no one can argue that I am defacing US Currency. I usually record the place where I spend or get US bills as well as the cashiers who gave them to me or whom I gave the money to. It also allows me to remember their first names. |

I've registered bills on that site long ago and forgot about it. Given other people who later get your bill and do the same sure helps. It's interesting to see how money moves around.
