Default K9 Grass? Turf on cement?

We are in a courtyard villa that the side yard is mostly cement. We would love to put something down over the cement that isn't so hot for our dogs. ( they have to step on the cement before they get to the grassy areas in back) currently we are hoseing it down to cool it off . We recently stayed at an airbnb that had fake turf/k9 grass on thier patio. It was a large area and was very soft. Like real grass. Know nothing about this stuff. Has anyone done this on thier patio?

Default Grass

We put artificial grass down in the side yard of our courtyard villa and I think it gets hotter than the concrete when in direct sunlight. You’re welcome to come over and look and feel ours before you make your decision. Bob 941-416-6303

You might consider putting down cool decking like they use around swimming pools. It is a lot cooler than bare concrete!

Have you considered an outdoor rug? You may need to hose it off once in a while, but it should be a lot cooler than concrete.

Yes after researching and costs we are probably leaning that way!

yes, i had one, & it's a great idea, but you really have to take care of it after it rains or gets wet. i had mold develop & would hang it to dry before using again. the stains DID come off with powerwashing & bleach spray
