Default Landscaping Help (need rock)

Need some recommendations for landscapers. We need to pull up all the pinestraw and replace with rock. Need a good landscaper, and reasonable cost.

Also..those who have had this type of work done, have you put money down?? We tried one person that had gone door to door and they want almost 3/4 down for materials. Big Red flag in my book but wanted to get some feedback from this group on that as well.

Thanks

We used Jamie's Landscaping for similar work recently. After checking other companies like Village Palms, we found Jamie's to be the most reasonable. They did a wonderful job. No downpayment, payment due at completion of work. They've been in business over 15 years and do a lot of work in The villages. 352-308-7412

We used "Have Rock Will Roll" for the rock portion of our landscaping in our previous Villa. He isn't a landscaper, but has good prices on putting down rock. We paid after the work had been done.

NEVER...NEVER.....NEVER pay upfront. All the respectable companies that serve the Villages will do the job and make sure you are satisfied with their work.. THEN you pay.

Thanks will check into the companies I wasn't going to jump and pay up front especially when I couldn't find anything on them. Hadn't asked for there license yet either. I have paid material up front in the past in other parts of the country (only a slight cost) but was rather concerned because it was a door to door and the amount just started the red flags going. I appreciate the help.

Don,t pay anything up front, get a license # and check on it, and get a copy of their workers comp certificate (you can be liable if a worker is injured on your property, and the contractor is not covered).

We used TerraScape over on route 301. Landscape designer came to the house and drew up a plan for us. They ask 20% down rest due upon completion. They did a great job and we are very satisfied. We had curbing, stack walls and an island on the side yard with palms, filled in with seminole rock (red rocks). Don't know if they are reasonable on cost as we did not get any other estimates. Just liked their work and went with them based on landscaping work we had done in VA.

We also used Terrascape on CR 301 for a large landscaping job. They provided large hedges, curbs with rocks, an island with different types of palm trees, and a zen garden. We were very happy with the results, especially our double sylvester palm tree. Bonnie, the Nursery Manager, is a real joy.

But when we just needed just rock, we found "Have Rock Will Roll" to be the least expensive alternative.

I think you can reach Zack at "Have Rock Will Roll" at 352-274-5635. We picked out our rock at Dirt Cheap on CR 441 and then Zack handled it for us.
Dirt Cheap has an amazing amount of choices for rock!

Very good company. We used them and all our neighbors. They respond quickly to questions and problems. Their staff is polite and they will educate you throughout the entire process. Great company. Wix.com kgl landscaping created by chebpuat based on Green Properties and 352-347-8307. Lots of good reviews from fellow totv'ers.

KGL is a very reputable company with many references and we use them for all our ongoing landscaping needs. From start to finish we give them top ratings. They have never let us down. Great prices, hard working polite crew and High quality workmanship. Just be very careful of who you choose that havent been around the Villages very long. They prey on our ignorance and give out prices that seem too good to be true. It always is. Kgl signs a contract. So we felt very comfortable with them. They've kept their end of the bargain throughout the year. Good luck!

has anyone used Quality lawns, Robert Parker owner?? I called what I thought was Mansfield , and Ron's Landscaping. then filled out a questionare that popped up with info for finding a landscaper here in this area. I received no callback from mansfield, nor Rons landscaping but three from the questionare. One of which was Robert Parker, so my question is has anyone used him and what do they feel about the service.

Default McGowan landscaping = great job!!

We used McGowan Landscaping. They just replaced the pine straw at my neighbors house. Also, four other people on my culdesac used them. Great to work with and superior customer service. I highly recommend them. 352-274-4189.
